Excellent

Potomac Watch is the only balanced commentary I can find. I also love the eulogy-like tone that everything is discussed with. Everyone on this podcast is enough of an expert that they don’t feel the need to entertain their audience. This is serious business!

LIST PANEL GUESTS IN EPISODE DESCRIPTIONS!

Again - list the panel guest names! I like Paul, Bill, and Kyle! Kim strassel stinks! Awful voice and content - like fingernails on chalkboard - not sexism either - she just is genuinely annoying. Paul bill and Kyle are more enticing even if I do not agree with their views - at least they are pleasant in tone and structure. Prior review : Please list contributors in episode descriptions! Would rather skip kimmy's contributions from fantasy land. Thanks

Finally something rational to listen to....

This is a great podcast and the best way to quickly get the scoop on the latest news without all the hysterics. Kimberly Strassel is my favorite, although I enjoy listening to all the opinions. Reading some of these reviews, it’s obvious that the more rude someone gets, the more they overrate their intelligence. Keep up the good work WSJ.

Worth Your Time

Unlike several other reviewers, I think Gigot does a good job trying to offer commentary with some balance. Strassel is articulate but I feel she frequently ignores strong points on the other side thereby reducing her credibility. I listen to podcasts from both the right and left. This is the best from a conservative perspective that I’ve found.

Uhhh, uhhhh

Signed up with excitement in wanting to listen to a well thought out, balanced podcast—uhhhh, it is not, uhhhh. Uhhh my first episode I listened to uhhh “How did Adam Schiff Get Devin Nunes’s Phone Records?” uhhh, literally no journalistic professionalism. They uhhh, start talking about uhhh, being appalled that Nunes records were subpoenaed, uhhh—it’s a formal investigation you uhhh idiots. How else are they supposed to investigate a sensitive matter, uhhh. This felt more like fox news, uhhh, without the screaming, uhhh.

Will WSJ issue a correction?!

I’ve listened for a long time and sometimes this show loses its practical conservatism. And the most recent episode, “How Did Adam Schiff Get Devin Nunes’ Phone Records?,” is truly overboard. The entire second half of the episode is premised on one thing that is completely false, the entire “cast” claims Adam Schiff subpoenaed Nunes’ phone records and put relevant parts in the Intelligence Committee report. Let’s be clear, this is false. I want to know if the show will issue a correction. Does the WSJ believe its standards can be lowered in podcasts? Or has the paper lowered into standards too so it can report falsehoods? I’d like to know so my company can cancel our subscription. Then there’s the issue that the panel completely ignores the revelation of Nunes’ Ukrainian related calls, but that is to be expected at this point.

This is great....because of Kimberley Strassel

I find this really fun to listen to when Kim Strassel is on. She gets to the point in a quick and succint manner, and always adds things that other media aren't talking about. It's also fun to hear Paul Gigot talk about Trump...he can hardly keep the utter joy and glee out of his voice when he thinks he's reporting negative things about the president. An obvious "never Trumper"....but Kim routinely pops Gigot's balloon with a bunch of facts and putting things in context for the cloudy-eyed, biased Gigot. They all do a great job informing us about the latest things going on in the swamp in a pretty short podcast.

Regular listener

I always find this podcast to be informative and a great summary and commentary on the news articles. I agree with the comments about Ms Finley’s speaking style. I will fast forward through her comments or skip the episode entirely. It’s too much nasal to handle in the headphones. That’s just a small criticism to an overall well done podcast.

Daily listener but please....

Ms Finley is knowledgeable but has a very poor speaking style. I skip podcast when she is on. Bill McGurn is great. Overall, a bit too much apologizing for Trump but this podcast balances out The Daily

Pet word -ah...

Please listen to your podcast and take note how many times the pet word “ah...” is said in the first 6 minutes. 20 times is a low estimate. I couldn’t concentrate in the ideas because the ahhhh wouldn’t let me. The word “and” isn’t pronounced “andah”. Please fix!!!!!!

Good content but take a Claritin before recording please

I like the nonsense discussion. Far too many podcasts are half inside jokes among the nerd hosts, but this one gets right to it. But Gigot sounds congested every episode. It’s gross. Also, they should have a left of center panelist. I think there’d be actual discussion, not screaming. We don’t need three right people agreeing with each other all the time.

Might as well be Fox News

I like my media as unbiased and balanced as possible. The heavily pro-Trump bias of this podcast feels crass and heavy handed at best.

Production value

Kim please stop breathing through your nose into microphone. Also a week ago I heard someone say ‘hey mom’. Maybe whomever is doing this out of their house may want to secure recording area. Breathing sounds like whistling. You can hear her take see breathes like a steam whistle hahah. Please be aware. Wait!Oh my gosh! Kim, Kim! Are you the whistleblower? Is that why we need to safeguard the identity??? Oh! Is a train coming??

Have listened for a long time - taking a break

As a longtime listener, I'm taking a break. I know Ms. Strassel is selling a book, and I wish her well. But over the past month, her contributions to this podcast discussion have become more partisan and more dismissive -- and so less informative. I'll be back in a few months -- appreciate Paul Gigot, Bill McGurn, and other podcast participants.

Analysis is spot on. But PLEASE stop “old man breathing” into the microphone when you are not talking. I just can’t listen to that.
