I’m a regular at listening to Walking the Dog and love them. Because it’s quite a long podcast, I always like to make sure I have a few in hand for long journeys or disturbed sleep nights. One of those nights where you are constantly in and out of sleep. Last night was one of those nights so listened to the Josh Widdicombe episode. What a delight. Thank you The Divine Miss Em, for making my disturbed night not only bearable, but enjoyable
Wow, this Nihall Arthanayake fellow really takes himself so seriously, I thought at first he must be some great humanitarian, peace keeper, brain surgeon but apparently he is a radio disc jockey. How did she keep a straight face
Although I don't have a dog I started listening to Emily’s podcasts having listened to her on The Frank Skinner Show. Her walk with Frank and Peanut was easily my favourite podcast to date. I love the way it seems as if you are listening in on a private conversation and although the questions are obviously very well thought out, they seems to evoke a very natural response. I am looking forward to listening to the rest of the podcasts.
I’ve only just started picking through the back catalogue of these excellent podcasts recently - and what a treasure trove they are. The Lee Mack episode is a total treat. I seem to have rapidly become an Emily Dean convert after also just finishing her brutally-honest-page-turner of a biography. Great job, Em!
I’ve listened to two of these now and am looking forward to the rest. These are delightful interviews with comedians, meandering by definition as they take place during a dog walk. Emily Dean is just lovely - reflective and funny, always kind. But she elicits some really insightful responses from her dog-walking companions and lays bare some of the complexities of writing and performing. And she loves dogs!
I am a long time reader on Absolute Radio Frank Skinner show, and Emily is always fabulous (they all are). This is an excellent podcast for anyone wanting to know how an interview should be done: it has insight, is great fun, warm and very entertaining...please do more!
Really enjoying these podcasts. Emily is very warm and likeable and as such, her guests seem to very readily open up to her, particularly in the relaxed setting of a dog walk. I also like hearing them bump in to other people and chat about their dogs - it really brings you in to their world for a little while.
I’ve listened to Emily on Frank’s show for a long time, but after reading her book (which is brilliant by the way), I decided to try out the podcast. I wasn’t disappointed, I love it and it’s by far my favourite podcast to listen to now. Thanks
Being a newbie to the podcast world I discovered Emily via frank skinners absolute radio podcast. He mentioned her walking the dog podcast and that was it. I love her!I think she may have even pipped Frank to the post but don’t tell him. I think he would’ve a little touchy about such a revelation. Emily will soon become your best friend on long uphill walks to the station in the morning! Thank you for making my commute slightly more fun. Tina xx
I really have enjoyed all the podcast up to now also the guest have been really open about there lives and families which is not always the way they seem in the public eye . Great work keep up the great work Emily .
