Makes me laugh

Cringeworthy. The host is one of the whiniest and self absorbed podcast hosts out there. Less than half story and more than half the host crying about his problems, dislikes or opinion. His band sounds awful and he couldn’t hold a tune if his life depended on it. Move on people to better podcast this guy is just pathetic. Robert Stack would be ashamed of this sad sack of a host here.

Disrespectful

I listened to an episode about a family member that went missing about 20 years ago and they were horribly disrespectful and judgemental towards her. I came to learn a little more and see what I could find out but the first 20 minutes consisted of disparaging her because of her name and lifestyle. Granted, she very well could have gone down a bad path before she disappeared, but that is no reason to talk about someone who is missing in a negative way because of their name and speculating on their possible lifestyle.

Excellent podcast covering an excellent show.

I love this podcast. Josh and Mike are real, and say what they think. UM was special, and as a 40 year old woman I have fond memories of it that I cannot share with everyone because they don’t appreciate it as I do. Thanks to these guys, I can relieve these awesome episodes and actually have Josh and Mike say exactly what I feel. Keep up the great work, and I thank you for all you do, gentlemen.

Josh and Mike

Sometimes you don’t want a podcast to preach to you politically or otherwise, be lectured to “intellectually” by someone who has never really done anything or be brow-beat morally. Sometimes you just want to relax and enjoy. This is the podcast for you. Mike has a real world, positive can do spirit. Josh is a talented musician with a light hearted, yet deep sense of sarcasm and color commentary. Together they are podcast gold effortlessly playing off of one another. They are more than the subject they love and speak passionately about. I look forward to their banter even when I disagree. Unless I am mistaken, it comes from a good place. They are very fun loving gentleman, yet able to give appropriate gravitas to what any story that tackle. I am excited whenever a new one comes out. I appreciate it, I really appreciate it!Chris from Antioch

Meh.

I would love to hear the topics but the hosts talk wayyyyyy too much about other things. Literally had to fast forward 30 min to finally start hearing about the topic and even then it still gets off topic.

Too much chatter

The topics are great, the back-and-forth chitchat isn’t. It’s too bad as this could’ve been a really good podcast but I’m going to unsubscribe because it’s a turn off to hear a host say as he did in episode 136 in the intro and he just wasn’t feeling various episodes that they did. I mean, if you’re not 100% committed don’t do this; there are thousands of other podcasts that are into it.

Hmmmmm...

I feel like it’s too much back and fourth chatter and not enough storytelling. It’s too much chit chat to be entertaining to me.

Hmmmm

I don’t know if there’s any value in the hosts acting like “two cool DJs” while they discuss murder victims. And the one guy promoting his band? This just seems like too casual for the subject matter. This is the worst of murder-tainment. Very very disrespectful.

An exercise in idiocy.

Honestly, I’m sad that a really well done podcast, that’s well- researched and thought out like In Sight recommended this podcast. Judgmental. Self promoting. Ridiculous.

Loyal listener

I started listening to this podcast shortly after it started a few years ago, today it’s the only podcast I still consistently look forward to. I love the format. It’s not meticulously fact-checked cutting-edge journalism, it’s two friends chatting about unsolved mysteries; that’s what makes it special and enjoyable. Just two guys who like mysteries. They’re relatable and funny.
