Love it!

Debbie holds space for such great conversation. It’s honest, vulnerable, and so easy to relate to. And all the better because she’s giving voice to what some shy away from.

So glad I came across this!

I was looking to add new podcasts to my current listening library and am so glad I came across this one. Listening to the Shame & Vulnerability episode with Rebecca Ching helped me better understand why we feel shame and how we can use it to better understand who we are and how we function. I look forward to catching up on the previous episodes as I'm sure there will be many more golden nuggets I find here!

Important Conversations

The conversations on these podcasts are so important to get us out of our own bubble. They have even helped me to have my pwn uncomfortable conversations.

Uncomfortable: One of the Tragedies of Our Moment

Awesome!Collin Hansen speaks the “TRUTH!” Real Christians follow and live like, the best that they can this side of Heaven, Jesus Christ as we know Him, or should come to know Him, through the scriptures, The BIBLE.I am a Christian first, then I am a husband, dad, son, brother, Marine, attorney, and yes, a Democrat. The Republican Party, the so called evangelicals who supported in 2016, and support President Trump now, regardless of what their last name is, or who their daddy was, DOES NOT HAVE YHE KEYS TO HEAVEN; my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ does! Very sincerely and Semper Fidelis - Timothy M. Dunn Fayetteville, NC

Disappointing

I had high hopes for this but had to unsubscribe. This is just another leftist podcast. So disappointed! The search continues for something that truly covers both sides...

Based off two episodes

I listened to the first episode interviewing a white supremicist, and I just listened to the episode called “Abortion Hurts Women”. After listening to the first one, I had high hopes for this podcast. I felt the host did a good job of keeping her cool while talking about a controversial topic that she has an understandably strong personal opinion on. She allowed him to speak his mind about his position and gave good counterpoints to his position, while keeping things things relatively amiable despite the guest’s views being pretty much insulting to the host. The second one I listened to on the abortion issue was quite the disappointment. It’s a topic that I feel is very important and to be clear, I personally am opposed to abortion for moral reasons. I was interested in hearing an open discussion where, like the first episode, the guest would present her views and the host would ask probing questions and offer good counterpoints while keeping things civil. While it started out well, I felt like the host started simply talking over the guest a number of times and changed the subject whenever she didn’t like the topic. Also, some of the things she said I felt were intellectually dishonest. She seems to equate abortion now being legal with it being moral. Also her questions about why the guest doesn’t do more to help families with children after the age of two seemed to try to say that because the guest’s organization doesn’t provide services for a family’s whole life, their contributions are meaningless, which makes no sense. She tries to badger the guest into taking a stance on the morning after pill when the guest clearly states that it’s not something that she has settled in her own mind yet, which seems like the host fails to acknowledge the complexity of the whole debate. That’s seems pretty dishonest too. I have listened to a lot of the episodes, but if that’s what I can expect, I’ll pass. 3 stars for one good episode and for an appreciation for the attempt at mediating a civil discussion on controversial topics, but I don’t think that the host of the show pulls it off based on my admittedly small sample size.

This podcast is a refuge for those looking to lean in to the issues of time and try to understand where folks are coming from and HOW they came to those views no matter if they agree with them or not. The level of repsect Amna has for her subjects is unmatched today in jourmalism worth a listen1

Jihad interview

I am a new listener. Indian Hindu by background, head full of anti-Muslim propaganda, I found this a very refreshing 'listen'. Thank you very much for hosting this person. Godspeed to you!
