Great podcast

I have just started to listen to this and it is fantastic. I started at the beginning and have listens to the first 16 episodes while day hiking around Phoenix, AZ and dreaming of a long hike. Very interesting stories and topics in each episode so far. Well done!

Episode 73

Better guest questions: why is it so superinfection that your wife is still working and your furloughed? Guests don’t know what this gentleman’s wife does for work. Without proper interviewing this presents as gender/sex bias about women’s stereotypical roles as the homemaker. We can do better. Lets all work to break the subconscious biases we all have and need to work on. Thanks Kyle.

Best hiking podcast

I had to download the stupid Apple podcast app to write this review so I hope you appreciate the extra effort. Love the podcast. I found it through Kyle’s YouTube channel after i feel into a YouTube rabbit hole of thru hiking during the quarantine. I’ve been listening to episodes everyday when i go for walks around my neighborhood and grade my students assignments. My goal is to hike the at before i turn 30. I’m about to turn 24 so i go some time. Keep doing what your doing dude. Super entertaining!

Great podcast

I started watching Kyle’s YouTube videos which I felt were pretty funny and I enjoyed the amateur-ish quality of them. I decided to check out his podcasts after listening to a few others and found them to be excellent. I’ve only gotten through about 8 so far but I like how he has the ability to be humble and see both sides of the more controversial backpacking/hiking issues. I hope they continue to be as entertaining as they have been.

Like the mix of guests. I’m a northeast hiker and love to hear about hiking in the whites. I also enjoy hearing about other trails and hiking stories. Keep up the great work

Escape from reality!

Great job!! I discovered this on my way back from a camping trip in the Whites and now I listen to this podcast on my way to work. The casual conversation makes it entertaining and a fun escape. I’m doing the Pemi Loop as my first overnight backpacking trip this summer, and I would love for you to do an episode on that!

Great job!

Dan Becker’s got nothing on Kyle! Keep up the great work. Your fresh takes on the good, the bad and the ugly of hiking is welcome. Your invited guests are always phenomenal and your ability to secure YouTube celebrities is second to none.

“Oh the places we’ll go”

Love taking this podcast with me on my adventures. It’s funny when someone from South Carolina listens to a podcast from Vermont while hiking in Florida. Even better when someone asks “what are you listening to?”

As an aspiring thru-hiker and one who is currently tackling the 48, I’m loving this podcast. It’s funny, positive, down-to-earth, and interesting. Your energy and demeanor are great and the sound quality is just fine. Keep it up Kyle; I look forward to new episodes every week.
