    Victim blaming podcast

I really wanted to like this podcast and ended up hate listening to it. I’ve never before heard a true crime story that focused so much more on the poor cold blooded murderer and his “tough” life circumstances than the actual murder victim. The empathy that the journalist had for this terrible person was palpable.

One of my fav all time podcast

I thoroughly enjoyed this podcast despite the story being so sad/awful. This was written and recorded very well with all of the conversations/ phones calls clear to understand as well. Some other podcast have terrible narrators or poor quality sound but this was easy to understand and kept me wanting to listen non stop. I like that the journalist was open minded for both sides too.

    Jaw Dropped!

My jaw dropped at the end of each episode! I also thought it was someone else after each episode! I hate that this happened to Adea as well as the families..

    Pretty Biased

The podcaster seems to dismiss the punk who was a liar, thief, drug abuser, woman beater, and who brutally murdered a young woman so that he can cast the majority of the suspicion and or blame on the guys dad, who is also a scum bag. Would have been a better podcast w/o the BIAS

I love the story telling. But what I need to say, Mary, I love you. I’m so sorry that this is something you’ve had to go through. I hope you can trust people in the future. ❤️

    Spectacular

This is by far the best podcast I’ve ever listened to. It was like a good book, I could not put it down. I wish Neil would continue to write additional podcasts, especially ones focused on LA and the stories you never really hear. Addicting for sure.

Wow, what a crazy and sad story

This was really well written and well told story. I binged on this podcast and finished it in two days. The story of Adhea and Chris is far from the acting of Romeo and Juliet and then how it ties into the father and oh wow. You just gotta listen to this one… such a sad story and the families effected by this tragedy.

    Amazing!

For anyone who loves true crime investigative podcasts... this is really as good as they come! Brilliant investigating! This was one of the first investigative pods that I got into and it spoiled me as there are so few that actually get solved. Looking for more from this team!

    Too drawn out, annoying narrator

Don’t bother. Too drawn out. Neil Strauss seems to love the sound of his own voice. Not to mention he manipulates every broken person in the murderer’s family to get information. Can’t believe I wasted my time on this one.

    Staged?

Is this a joke? Is this a staged joke? Why does this journalist have all these super emotional crazy over the top interviews? Is this the way people in LA are? It was good until the podcaster found out what happened to Chris, then it got unbelievable and just too much.
