Thanks for Giving Me 2,220 Seconds of Self-Helpfulness!!!

Dr. Joy, this was one of the best 37 minutes on 2x speed I've invested in personal development this week! Thank you for addressing this important issue for black girls and women. We need to know that we are not alone and that this conversation is safe for us to have (even with (or within) ourselves-- ;)

Insightful

The challenges of Black women physicians - I have worked in government for the last 5 years, and I am also in the military. I have no medical background at all, so I did not think that the episode about Black female physicians would resonate with me. It’s clear that as working Black women in a field in which we aren’t prevalent and people don’t expect us nor want us to thrive, we will experience similar discriminatory behavior and lack of support from others across the board. Love how relatable and uplifting the guests are.

It’s super easy to listen to and it really gives me the chance to look inward a bit during my day, sort of like a mental health check in.
