Theology Cast

I have been delighted to listen through these two podcasters as they muse about various topics. I've laughed out loud and shared this podcast with my grown children. I hope more content is to come. Blessings upon you both, and thank you.

*insert title here*

I love listening to these guys. I first became aware of Dr. Reeves through Youtube when I came across some of his videos on early church history (I do wish he was still making those, I ran out a while ago), and in the process of checking his background and historical experience (an aspect of historical study which I think is often undervalued) I somehow learned that he co-hosted a podcast.I think that one of the best parts of the podcast is the semi-serious banter. Although the editing quality seems really good as with the cold opening to each episode, there is definitely a sense of the show being very casual. This show is really two guys talking to each other, and I love it. When I listen, I feel as if I’m sitting and talking with my own friends and am often disappointed when I realise that I can’t offer my input. All in all, I have enjoyed this podcast for a while and I really wish that episodes were still being released regularly. Season 2 ended unexpectedly with a lengthy hiatus, and though I still try to maintain hope it has now been almost 3 months since the second episode of season 3 went up. Either way, I am excited about the books Ryan has been working on and I hope to find time to get them and read them. I hope you guys come back soon!

Makes the Faith Attractive

Many things to love about this podcast - it's as amusing as it is interesting, but the highest compliment I could give is that Dr. Reeves and Dr. Taylor are smart Christians... who you actually want to be friends with. Their collective brainpower is great, but their banter on topics ranging from apple watches and Stranger Things to the gift of reformed theology remains unprentious and inviting. When you are listening to this show, you are basically having a beer at an English pub with two really likable Cambridge nerds. Also, highly recommended for anyone considering a career in academia - offers behind-the-scenes looks into the world of PhD's, publishing, conferences, and the like.

Stimulating…..FUN

Aside from the thought provoking moments (aha!), love the witty banter. Sometimes I laugh out loud. Only when I’m alone in the car, of course.

Great podcast

Love the style and topics these guys pick. They don’t take things too seriously, which is great for regular listeners. But when they get on serious topics they are both experts and professors so I like these parts, too. Great podcast!

Perfect mashup of topics

This show has two very intelligent hosts who offer insight into various topics and keep it entertaining the entire time. I feel like I am sitting down and chatting with some long time friends. They bring together the seemingly odd topics of church history, pedagogy, entertainment, media, and family life into one coherent enjoyable show. My only complaint is that I don't have more episodes to listen to!

Excellent Content

These guys cover a wide variety of topics but always have a good theological point to make. Pop-culture, history and theology. This is as good as it gets.
