Definitely missing the old days of the toast when it was lighthearted and fun to listen to. I’ve been listening from their very first podcast episode and the show has just become too negative and it doesn’t feel like they try at all with the stories. The toast used to be the place I’d listen to for different takes but now it just feels like they’re trying everything in their power to avoid having talk about pop culture, TV, or anything else relevant going on.

Claudia is a star!
New listener ever since they joined Dead Media. I’m not a huge entertainment junkie but it’s still a nice and light listen every now and then. I love Claudia and she is just such a delight to listen to and so effortlessly funny. But I feel like Jackie can bring a lot of negativity that just ruins the tone of the show a lot. Loved the interview with Jay Shetty so much!!

Claudia did SUCH an amazing job with her interview with Jay Shetty. So refreshing to hear such a well-planned interview and you could tell how much she respects him and his time! So often it’s clear on other podcasts the hosts barely read the book before their interviews and this was NOT like other interviews. Love love love. Claudia should 100% do more hosting gigs in the future she’s FABulous

From OH YES to Jackie oh no.
Huge toast fan here. Claudia is a true personality and has kept me hooked for years. They’ll refuse to read this, but it only feels right. Jackie has always been more “serious” but she’s made this podcast unbearable. I’ve never missed an episode (years, people!!) and have PAID for Patreon - but it’s official: Jackie is miserable to listen to. I listened to an old episode of Claudia & Taylor Strecker just because the other day, and it made coming back to the new Jackie Oh-no even worse because it reminded me how FUN this used to be! This podcast used to be lighthearted - a way to escape the heaviness of “serious subjects” but every single episode Jackie reminds anyone who pays attention to anything pop culture related that there are more “serious” things in the world (like human trafficking ??? Yes we are aware ??? We came here to take an hour to laugh tho ???? You literally branded YOURSELF as a pop culture podcast ???? ) She USED to be fun but she’s just the worst now. Whole podcast is dreadful bc of Jackie’s attitude. I’m finding a new podcast until Claudia finds a way to find a new cohost.

I was a toaster after one episode
This was my favorite podcast by far for a long time but Jackie has become more and more negative and it’s so difficult to listen to her endless complaining. The conspiracies and misery is just too much for me. It’s too bad because Claudia is wonderful and the only reason I hung on for so long. I also cancelled their Patreon because they promise exclusive content but it all comes before the end of the month and it’s repeat content with zero effort put into it.

Admit the ozempic use!
Would like the show more if Claudia didn’t lie about losing her weight through “eating less” and partnering with Weight Watchers. We all wouldnt care if u didn’t try to hide it Bffr… also Jackie side note you are not better than anyone bc u don’t care about pop culture/ don’t drink.

No longer watching
I used to listen to this podcast every day and as of the last couple weeks cannot listen anymore. As a Brit living in America, I don’t even love the royal family as much as Jackie and cannot stand her take. Everyone can have their own opinion, but the hatred for Megan since the beginning is strange and I think it is the elitism of the royal family that she likes. I find myself disagreeing with most of her takes honestly and have to skip through and will no longer be listening.

Unfortunate
It used to be such a fun podcast, light and fun. Jackie has definitely changed which is fine, but she is no longer a pop culture fun queen. Time to stop bringing Claudia and the show down and fill her seat with someone who is interested in talking about things outside of chili, royals and books.

Always makes me laugh, love both of these girlies. Personally love the book talk, and have picked up a few of Jax’s suggestions. Listen everyday while I work and it’s the best thing to entertain me during my 9-5.

Love this podcast!!
I’ve honestly never been so hooked on a podcast before! I look forward to listening every morning when I get ready for work! The sister’s dynamic together is so entertaining and Claud is just hilarious. I’m getting all the pop culture knowledge that I never knew I needed. I felt compelled to leave this review because, WHY all the hate on Jackie? I have been listening to almost every episode since October and not ONCE has it crossed my mind she’s come across negative or critical at all. She seems super genuine and sweet. It’s honestly confusing but whatever love ya Jax & Claud and keep doing what you’re doing ❤️❤️❤️

What happened?
This podcast used to make me laugh until I was in tears, now I can barely muster up a chuckle. So boring!! I feel like the hosts are just going through the motions to put episodes out but are not doing any research on the stories, just seems like they don’t care anymore. Maybe Claudia would be better off with a new host? Jackie clearly doesn’t care about pop culture and only talks about books and royals and chili (we don’t care!). Can’t believe how much I used to loved this podcast… now I can’t listen at all. Hope they can get it together soon, the reviews speak for themselves…
