Friday Edition

As a listener for years on CBC radio please tell me why you can’t have this in my feed on Sunday morning. I think we all live with the illusion that your there in the studio doing the show on a Sunday. Just feels like something in a can now. Like yesterday’s newspaper.

One Of The Best!

So few exist in the same upper echelon of talk show host and conversationalist, Michael Enright. The Sunday Edition is a jewel to be appreciated for as long as it endures. I'm glad it's returned to its rightful 3-hour format!

Interesting & Enjoyable

Michael has a calming way about him and really asks good questions to guest. I love the variety of subjects and experts - I always leave feeling smarter for having listened. I find the show relaxing and so useful for in starting conversations. Many thanks for extending it!

Stop spending Canadian tax dollars

The Canadian Pravda, CBC, taking and wasting taxpayer money on podcasts, awesome for the actual podcasts who work for their money

Hard to know what would be better

If you like real radio journalism, this has got to be one of the premier podcasts available in the English speaking world. There is a big talent pool of contributors that this program depends upon for interviews and documentaries. I subscribe to over 50 podcasts, and I have to get choosy about what I keep on the roster, there are just so many hours I can devote to listening. Much of what I listen to are the new generation podcasters who are totally independent and just on their own producing mind blowing work. The CBC's The Sunday Edition is fearfully old school in comparison. But the younger voices elsewhere can still learn from listening to this flagship program.

Still not happy with short clips

Fed up with these short segments. What's the point of them- to act as a 'sampler' for the radio version? I'm no longer subscribing to the podcast

Love this format!

This podcast is my favourite CBC show, which I don't often have the chance to listen to on Sunday mornings. I just want to say I LOVE it when CBC lists all of the segments, with their times, in the podcast description. In the summer, it's especially nice to skip segments you've heard before. Very user friendly. Thank you.

Meaty and Mindful

Micheal Enright has always been a wonderful interviewer: balanced, reasonable, thoughtful, puckish, incisive. The Sunday Edition ranges over all kinds of interesting topics and makes for most excellent listening. Thanks to Mr. Enright's long and distinguished career, he has wonderful access to guests you would not normally expect to hear interviewed...and the long show format means you get a nice, long natter with them! This podcast is a real treat.

This is a wonderful program!

It is comforting to know that if I miss a Sunday morning program, I can tap in later. I have listened to some interviews several times. They are so informative and rich that I am glad to be able to pause and re-wind. Micheal Enright more often than not brings out the best in the people he interviews, drawing out what are for me, many of the complexities of the subject being discussed. I appreciate the way he engages with the subject and the subject matter. I always walk away with something to think about.

CBC Sunday Edition

Michael Enright is one of the best interviewers of all time. He knows how to get the story out, but he is not intrusive. I still miss him dearly on "As it Happens"

The Worst of Sunday Edition

The Sunday Edition does a great job in reporting on music and literature. The podcasts, however, consist of critical commentary on U.S. politics. I I would be more interested in what is happening in Canada, with an occassional comment on the U.S. Every week is TOO MUCH. I am unsubcribing because I have given up hope of hearing the best of the program.

If only it weren't just highlights

Love this podcast, listen to it every week. Only thing that keeps me from giving it five stars is that they gave us a taste of the full program a couple months back "best of" was, in fact, better than "all of." Still, one of my favourites!

Excellent Program

Michael Enright is informative and interesting. I love this program. It deals with a great diversity of topics, from high culture (jazz, art, classical music) to current events and politics.
