Well done...some of it anyway

Overall I like parts of this show. The many minutes of commercials is frustrating. There are more Ads on this show than any podcast I’ve listened to. The fin tech segments are not enjoyable. I could do without the sexual innuendos and swearing. Feels like guys trying to gain acceptance in middle school. That being said, parts of the show are great. I only listen to the Friday episodes where Paul Pant joins. I think producing 3 podcasts per week is a ton and listeners get bored.

Doug 2020

Neighbor Doug really shines in this breakout performance of trivia mastery. If you can hang out through the finance mumbo jumbo and discussion of day-old cole slaw, you might get a good little nugget from Doug’s trivia segment. Jury’s still out on whether either listener will ever learn anything though...

Best trivia podcast ever!

Best trivia podcast i’ve ever listened too! It’s a little weird that they shove financial advice in between the trivia segment and Sizzler menu recommendations but never fear, Joe’s mom’s neighbor Doug manages to keep the show on track. This podcast is light hearted, actionable and sincere. Joe and OG, you’re making a difference, you did with me even though i never learn anything. I always recommend the show to my friends and coworkers. Keep it up boys, SEEEYA!

Doug is pretty amazing!

We all wish we could go for a ride in the El Camino down to the Sizzler with Doug... Bur alas we get Average Joe and The Other Guy. Seriously, a great podcast that actually sounds good every episode! Good new content and even better transitions!

Financial Home Base

This podcast covers a large variety of financial topics and introduces you to an expert in each topic. I have read a dozen books, bookmarked countless webpages, and subscribed to other podcasts because this show introduced me to them. The only bad thing is that you’ll find yourself rooting for OG in the weekly trivia game only to have him do something dumb like CHOOSE to go first late in the year when the game is close. He is currently losing a trivia game to a podcaster who hasn’t watched Star Wars and a blogger who eats cheese sandwiches so he can invest more money in silver. 🙄

Great show, equally great community.

The show is funny and informative, but you’re missing out if you don’t check out the Stacking Benjamins Basement community as well!

My first episode to listen to....

There are things I really like about this podcast. There are things I really wanted to get out of it, certain take-aways I’m looking for. It was going great but then there were suddenly 2-3 people talking about vegans for no apparent reason. Based on the insensitive comments being made I feel more than sure these speakers were not vegan. They were making fun of some of the real struggles vegans face. The struggles that are the hardest also seem to make the funniest cruel jokes for others. I am trying to live and eat a vegan lifestyle but I am here because I also need help financially. I hoped to find that assistance here, not people making hurtful comments in their obvious ignorance about an unrelated topic

Right Right Right

The guest you had on talking about getting out at $52,000 of debt was unlistenable. Somebody has to do him a favor and tell him to quit saying “right” every time he talks. I had to turn it off.As for your podcast-Love it!

Dudes in the basement

Basically guys I’d just hang out with, cause I like goofy nerd types. The fact that I think their jokes are funny makes me question my own sense of humor. For entertainment purposes only: goal reached. Particularly entertaining if you like riding your lawn mower, mowing the lawn with a beer in your cup holder. And hey, I might have learned something too. Sorry to disappoint.

Best Career advise....

Good stuff, but after hearing the “f” word twice in a few minutes forwarded through the interview. I’m a fan but cussing doesn’t show a sign of intelligence but rather a lack of a command of the English language. It is a big turn off. Not professional

Best suspense podcast

I have been listening to this for about an hour, for that day when “mom” walks down to the basement and says “enough of the fun go clean your room”.Never. Never. That is the beauty of this show, they keep the suspense going. In between they have a nice plot with face off between joe and OG. Paula and len penzo come in occasionally for some drama. If only they had some comedy. By the way While I’m not listening to this I’m “stacking Benjamins” :)

So great!

Financial information that’s fun!I enjoy financial advice, having learned at the kitchen table growing up. But not everyone does. If you are someone who thinks it’s boring and preachy, you have a surprise coming! Stacking Benjamins is full of jokes, goofy games, spoof commercials, and a cast of characters that keeps the listener continually entertained. And the information is solid. What more could you ask?
