I would not recommend this.

This is set up to help aspiring songwriters improve their skills. It is not helpful.

Definitely a great listen

The hosts of this show discuss the craft of writing songs that is both basic and inspirational! Good guests offer different ideas and tips on what songwriting can be. I like the extra segments, too, like Nashville Steve, Grant's Rants and Raves, and Don't Do the Dumb Things That Jason Did!

Love it!

Great job! I really enjoy the variety of guests and analysis of the craft. The critiques are gentle and usually spot on. I am more of a No Rules experimental songwriter and I find the podcast fun and helpful!

Great and getting better!

Interesting and entertaining. The guys have a smooth relaxed style which makes you feel like you are right there with them. Songwriting isn't an easy thing to do well. This podcast is informative and may just inspire you to write your next best song. I’ll keep listening for sure.

The best songwriting podcast on iTunes

In the songwriting podcast 's short run, the show has shown itself to be everything a good podcast should be. the segments are tight, the interview is deep, and the hosts are knowledgeable and entertaining. As far as constructive cricticism, there are two things that could be better, both have to do with one of the Co- Hosts, Grant. First, Grant probably needs a different mic, as what he is currently using is muddy, and cuts in and out. It feels like someone is clapping their hands on my ears and pulling them away when he talks. Maybe he is using a dynamic microphone that's underpowered, or has a blown diaphram.Second, the "Grant's Rants and Raves" should be less opinion. I personally agree with how he feels a lot of the time, but it doesn't seem to add much to the show. I would change that segment to be an album review, songwriting or music book related review, rather than just a diatribe against something he doesn't like, with a quick nod towards something he does. Nothing personal, Grant, but it is the only segment that feels ill-fitting to the podcast. All in all, this is one of my favorite podcasts, and anyone interested in songwriting definitely should listen to it.

Best songwriting podcast!

The hosts Craig, Grant, and Jason have an excellent rapport and are enjoyable to listen to. Episode 2 is where they really hit their stride with an excellent interview and the first installment of my favorite part of the show "Craig Can Write." Keep up the great work; can't wait till next month for the next installment.
