Not enough depth

I have tried to tune in a number of times and always find that there is not enough depth to the conversation for my taste. Clearly they are great and devoted fans, but I want to walk away with some insights after I listen to a podcast and I am afraid this one falls short for me.

Plenty of Insight and Entertainment from True TV Fanatics

I found The Red Room Podcast by way of Twin Peaks a few months back, and I have not been disappointed since. Scott Ryan and Josh Minton are some of the most renown and knowledgable experts on the show, meaning their observations and discussions go way beyond trivia and Season 3 hype; if you're interested in what it all means - or might mean - this will help. They also never fail to explore the cultural contexts of the various tv shows and films they cover. Lastly, you'll hear interviews with other TP scholars like John Thorne of Wrapped in Plastic fame, David Bushman and Brad Dukes. Josh takes as scholarly an approach to the show as anyone can, and Scott really deserves the Sheryl Lee interview he's declared his life goal!

Not enough depth here

These guys obviously love good TV but the format of this show is lacking. I found this looking for a podcast about The Wire. A half-hour to talk about a full season (12 hours) of TV isn't enough time. They're pretty good TV talkers, but doing whole seasons in a short episode seems wrong. I wish they'd go episode-by-episode or a least do 90 minutes for a full season.

Always provocative

What I love about this podcast is that even when I disagree with them, Scott and Josh opinion's are so interesting and thought-provoking that they make me re-think my own ideas. Their conversations are fascinating and highly informed. Definitely recommended!

Great Podcast about TV

Most of the Podcasts I have found about TV focus on one show only. These guys do a different show each week. Sometimes themes and sometimes actual Shows. I like it cause its always different. Keep up the great work and I would like to see more lists, those are the best shows
