PVO has got to go

I always thought that PVO’s war with the PM and his office was kind of funny but now he just looks crazy, vindictive and venomous. Get a new co-host for Hugh and I’ll be back

Informed and relevant content

Really enjoy this podcast as a supplement to some of the other auspol commentary podcasts. Good personalities with balanced views (when I don’t agree with a position, they are still well reasoned and clear). Minus one star for the ads being louder than the actual podcast. Get your levels even. There is no reason for this problem to occur in a podcast let alone on commercial television 😡

Does the Hack ever get to speak?

Look the Professor is hot and that voice is smooth as, but can’t he let the Hack speak now and again? Poor Hugh. He’s Michelle from Destiny’s Child.

Five Canberra Bubbles

I stumbled across this podcast during the 2019 election campaign and have been hooked ever since. I’m so glad they kept it going after the election. Both Hugh and Peter bring a different point of view to what’s happening in Canberra and sometimes challenge each other’s view along with the listener. I give this podcast five Canberra bubbles out of five.

Insightful and interesting analysis

Hugh and PVO are a great team - their analysis is well informed, fair and refreshingly original. The title of the podcast is slightly misleading with Hugh demonstrating academic insight and PVO evidencing the qualities of a hack. No party or person is off limits but the sledges / attacks are reason based and fun!

Good content but...

I almost switched off when the opening ad was so long I thought there had been a mix up with the podcasts. 17mins in there’s Channel 10 ads. There’s too many good podcasts out there to have to sit through inane ads. Peace out.

More please

As a politics junkie, my plea is for you to continue this excellent podcast on a regular basis. Just because the Australian election is over, it doesn’t mean politics is settled and that boring calm will ensue. Far from it - is my prediction.

Excellent

This is a real political nerd’s podcast. I really appreciate the way in which PVO is able to dissect some of the minute details in the key issues. Riminton is very good at evaluating both sides of the political equation. I would struggle to pick who these two would vote for. Their assessment of Shorten could be slightly harsh, but they’re right in saying he has a very good team behind him. Morrison is certainly a one-man-band. This is a must listen in the lead-up to May 18.

Weekend at Bernie’s

I think your description of Bill Shorten is unkind and inaccurate. I, for one, am very grateful to be able to view and hear the Labor team at all times. After all, we do not vote for a president, we vote for our representative. The fact that Morrison is the only member of his team willing/wanting to show up speaks volumes.

Great political podcast

I am very glad I have stumbled upon this great podcast. The intelligent hosts, dive deep into the politics of the week. This podcast is just as good as ABC’s The Party Room, and Sydney Morning Herald’s Please Explain podcasts. I am looking forward to listening for a long time to come!
