The overlap between the voice I hear on this episode of ‘Comment’ and the Audible reader’s voice of Ferrante’s novels is to bastardize all three: Audible, the reader on Audible and the editors of The New Yorker- to put this voice or copy-cat voice is to cheapen all three. Nothing more than trend-setting. The New Yorker has been known to create art that may set a trend but has not been recognized as ‘TRENDY’, anything but. Shame, what a loss of standard-setting.As I have just found this podcast, I’ve only listened to this episode. For all I know, each episode may be in this trend makingvoice.
