A robot's being used to harvest apples at a Hawke's Bay orchard. Turners and Growers is the first outfit in the world to use the technology. It's hoping it will help ease worker shortages the industry is facing. Chief Operating Officer Peter Landon-Lane hopes the robot will change the game of apple picking.. The robot, which is currently nameless, was designed by American based company Abundant Robotics.
