Hope

I stumbled across this podcast as I was desperately looking for something to help me and us with the secret sexual sin that I recently discovered in our marriage. This podcast addresses SO many of my questions, fears, and is offering hope. It is a lifeline to me as I was sinking fast. You calm voices and research also offer a great deal of peace. Thank you.

Step 4 podcast

I also listened to the Step 4 podcast and i did not hear at all where they named Serena Williams during the discussion. They talked in general about the length of the women’s skirts in tennis as being a trigger for men. I was not offended and thought the discussion was thought provoking. The grotesque was not directed at any specific person. I have enjoyed all 5 podcast and they have helped me this week.

None of God’s creation should be referred to as grotesque

I was listening today 01/28/19 to this podcast as I always do on The 12 steps of recovery part 4. Dr. Mark Glaser made a comment about Serena Williams size in relationship to was she was wearing on one of her matches, ( as the trigger of the week) and he refer to her as grotesque and the opposite of being sexually arouse by looking at her size, he said “ she is big” Referring to her opponent as younger and thinner. The co-host said “You are saying that in the most respectful way”. There is not a respectful way to call a woman grotesque. As a man of God and one that is an example to men of all races including African American males, how dare he would refer to an African American woman in those terms. How would he like a man that did not find his wife or daughter attractive refer to them as grotesque? Millions of Christian men listen to that program, let's not forget that women do as well as I am one of them. After hearing this kind of language accompany with a smirk, I will excuse myself from listening to this podcast. I think for the sake of his ministry he owes her and all women an apology for that comment. As a Christian man you should know better. I am hurt and disappointed by you comment. We as believers have a responsibility to set the standard of how men and women honor each other, that comment was not in the least honorable.
