Successful Negotiation On My Cable Bill & Service
I won...for a year. But I won! After listening to your podcast with Billcutterz I called up my cable provider (Time Warner Cable aka Spectrum) and selected the "cancel my service" prompt and followed the tip by saying "no" to the "are you moving" prompt and then BOOM I was connected with The Right Person who was in the customer retention business. Long story short: $15 less a month ($180 for the year), a FREE cable box in my daughter's room (now she gets all the channels), and a higher internet speed (was 200 now it's 300). It stinks that it's only for a year; nonetheless, I pay less and get more. You can bet your bippy that I will be ready to make the same call in a year and select the "cancel my service" prompt to get the ball rolling again. Excellent show.
