The Harden Episode

Zach is the best. The attempt to make this a Gladwell like production is unlistenable.

New format is TERRIBLE

Love Zack and his insight. Been seeking his content for years in writing and then in the audio realm as he is a genuine vice of pure love for the sport with an analytical mind that goes beyond what I have time (and likely aptitude) to see as a fellow basketball enthusiast. Previously great podcast has morphed into a corporate advertising tool. Don’t need the questions posed to him, let Zack do his thing. It was working. The added production and interviewer subtract from the show. Also, the quantity and timing of ads have been increasingly annoying. Very likely to unsubscribe if this continues. Hopefully this was a swapcast (credit Doug Stanhope for the term) with the ESPN daily podcast and not a sign of things to come with the Lowe Post Podcast.

Quality

Love the pod and pretty much everything Zach does. However, this past week has seemed like an audition for the Ringer (not that you needed one).

Used to love but not the same anymore

The podcast used to have great insight on current nba teams that not a lot of people were talking about. Zach would talk X and Os like no one else was ready to just like how how he writes about it. But now it seems like he’s trying to become the espn version of Bill, and bring on entertainers and such for interviews. Unsubscribe.

Basketball

Zach is great at talking about basketball. I love to hear his thoughts. But he is bored of his job and likes to talk to non-basketball people on his basketball podcast. Please get Zach a second podcast so that he can ask banal show biz questions on another feed.

If you care about the NBA, you need to listen to Lowe

Zach is without question the premier NBA reporter. No one explains the game and how the game is changing better than Zach, and no one asks the questions Zach does in interviews. I come out of every Lowe Post episode smarter. The only problem is that we need more Zach/Rachel Nichols episodes (and if alcohol and/or Howard Beck are involved, even better). Very few things are as funny as how uncomfortable Zachgets when she needles him mercilessly for his foibles.

You are great, please don’t change

Zach, you play a unique and important role for us NBA fans. You do deep-dive team/player/game analysis in a way that we regular fans can understand. No one else does it better, not Beck or Haberstroh. Don’t change. I am disheartened by the podcast you did with Mina Kimes. Please do NOT go down this path, you will force us to fast forward through your podcast. If we want pure entertainment, we listen to the Jump. If we want front office/trade dynamics, we listen to the Hoop Collective. There is a show/pod for whatever we want. We don’t need you to invite guests to talk about cats and dogs. Really, we don’t.

Stop drinking while you interview

You need to stop drinking or doing this away from your mic it’s so annoying. I just turn it off the podcast when you do this.

Last Refuge

This is the best basketball podcast. But are we going to stop talking about basketball on here with people like Kimes coming in to just be cute? She’s got a great football pod but her best basketball contribution is Simmons and Embiid are like cats and dogs? Can’t I go to any run of the mill pod for this? What happened quality being a priority?

Windhorst stinks

Adding Windhorst’s wheezy access journalism to Lowe is like adding ice to scotch — dilution and ruination of a fine product.

basketball opinions are great, diet is not

I wish he avoided talking about dieting, etc, makes it hard for me to listen to recovering from a eating disorder. It’s like he has a sponsorship from a diet company. His basketball opinions are the best in the business however.
