    Retirement the Lazy Genius Way

I retired about a month ago, I was a hobby career person, after my kids were out of the house, I enjoyed a job for a while then tried something else, took a break and tried something else again. Knowing myself, I wasn’t certain what would work best to keep me functional in retirement as opposed to sitting doing not much all the time. Then, it hit me! Each day I do 2 things that really matter to me and one thing that I really enjoy doing. Its a fluid working option but it is a smashing success. I’ve gotten more done and enjoyed it more than ever before. Thank you Kendra for all you do.

I really want to like it. Too many ads.

Feels like over half the show is ads! I had to unfollow after it started to feel like a lecture on being overwhelmed and stressed out.

    Practical and FUN

I just love love love this podcast. From her you do you, best-friend tone, and the nuggets of very practical advice to tweak how I’m doing things to make them actually work better for me!?!?!? So fun. I’m having fun going back and listening to the older ones that I’ve missed. And can I just say THANK YOU for the bonus episode on Football! LOL. I love football season and having the games on but never know what’s actually going on. Two enthusiastic thumbs up! Thank you!

Kendra’s Pep Talks Give Me Life

This is the only podcast I listen to as a busy mom of four and it is endlessly helpful! She makes me feel seen with my struggles and also gives practical tips to help.

    Accessible, relatable, genius

I’m a 40ish mom who could keep a better house and maybe stand to lose a few pounds and get my crap together and want to do it all at once. This podcast is getting me there by graciously guiding me through new habits, little at a time. It’s fun and upbeat, but still feels deep, like Kendra is a good friend providing advice & encouragement. FAVORITE PODCAST, bar none!

    Thank You

Kendra, thank you for the midsummer pep talk! Your words were powerful and uplifting and it was just what I needed to hear. I’m sure you touched a lot of people, but I felt it on a personal level as if you were a good friend speaking directly to me. I appreciate how real you were and I think this world needs a whole lot more of that right now in order for people to truly connect with one another in a more genuine way. I always look forward to your podcast. By the end of each episode, I feel refreshed, like I just hit a reset button and I’m good to go. 👌🏻

    Bunch of bullies

While the podcast is fine, the cult following as with everything religious is filled with straight ip abuse with those who disagree. The followers have ruined multiple FB groups I’m in when people disagree with not feeling the life changing properties of this one person. I will no longer listen at all because of this.

Amazing advice on life but I miss the old Kendra

I have absolutely loved Kendra and her Lazy Genius principles and advice, it really has changed my life. The old episodes are highly recommended. 3 stars because lately I really miss how her podcast used to feel like a conversation between friends. It feels more official now, like she is a self help presenter instead of your best friend. Not as personable and feels like she is saying the same thing every time. Liked it much better before talk of the second book started.

    Mind Changing

When someone else says an idea, it seems so simple and you think “why didn’t I think of that”. Because your brain is so full of all the other things you are dealing with. I love the simple solutions that this podcast offers, the different ways of thinking, and the innovative ways to handle things like rest and clutter.

    My new favorite podcast!

I am fairly new to the Lazy Genius way of doing things, and I have been binging this podcast for the last month or so. Kendra’s way of communicating changes in our daily system has already proven to make my life easier, happier, and all around lovelier. Listening to this podcast feels a bit like having a life coach, really… Content personable enough to be relevant and helpful while also gently encouraging us to consider what matters on an individual basis without judgement or one-size-fits-all advice. Kendra prompts us to dig just enough past the daily frustration and stress to identify your core concerns, and then offers very practical principles to move you toward alleviating those daunting emotions that get tied to things like sinks full of dishes and how to get out the door in the morning. Kendra’s delivery feels like a really productive coffee date with an older sister who has her stuff together, but is humble enough to explain how she got there. Approach with a teachable spirit, and soon we’ll all be Lazy Geniusing anything and everything! 🥰

    Permission slip

Kendra, through a variety of topics, deep ones and everyday seemingly unimportant ones, has provided a way to organize our ideas, tasks and things in a way that makes sense. After years of always feeling as if I was missing the secret way to be better than I was at pretty much everything, I’ve been handed a permission slip to decide what matters to ME and focus my energy on that. What a gift! Delivered with humor and love. Thanks Kendra!

    Sweet… but for moms

I think this is a very sweet podcast. I enjoy listening and taking what I can but let’s be clear. This is for mothers mostly. Her approach to advice giving is comfy and sweet but broad and sort of for women like her. I enjoy it, don’t get me wrong. As a single divorced 20 something, I wish I could relate to it.. but I can’t.

    I Feel Seen

I feel totally seen and known when I listen to this podcast. Permission to be human, especially permission not to compare yourself with your “best day”, has made such a difference in my mental health and overall attitude about my home.
