Ugh!

Not only is this difficult to listen to because of very poor voice quality, real science is scarce

A Goldmine of Information

This podcast will teach you so much and explain the science behind concepts you may already be familiar with. No conjecture just hardcore facts presented thoroughly with no agenda. Thank you for this!

Excellent

I love this podcast. It is a trusted source of information by two experts whose only goal is to provide information that can improve the health of their listerners. No egos and no self promotion of products and services, just two scary smart people who want to help others. Their opinions are based on the research that western medicine often does not read, understand or want to discuss. I feel I have greatly improved my health by listening. Thanks for doing these podcasts John and Mark!

REALLY GOOD podcast!!

I am a healthcare practitioner working with a significant percentage of patients with chronic disorders and a survivor of significant chronic health challenges myself. I have spent 100’s of hours researching with a foundation of classic medical education, the components of lifestyle medicine on all levels. I resonate with ( and learn from) a variety of informational modes and flavors but not all. This podcast, these fellows, have got it all going on as far as I am concerned! Each brings a solid body of unique knowledge that complement one another. They are rooted in research and experience and deliver it ( albeit with some varying degree of geekiness) in very practical recommendations. I appreciate not only the education they deliver but also the apparent respect they have for one another, their friendship, and their balanced humility. As pertains to form, I also appreciate the “recaps” they do throughout each episode (this was particularly helpful when I had brain fog and fatigue) and the specific references they make. Patient education is a large part of my practice. I reference The Health Edge often in my efforts to underpin some of the interventions I recommend- very helpful!. I am disappointed that I won’t be joining their group in CostaRica this year- but I’ll save my pennies and maybe do so next year!! I highly recommend this show!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️(Ok, I’m a groupie😉)

Not applicable

I have listened to the HealthEdge podcasts for years and also heard both Mark and John speak at programs. Their commentary has provided invaluable perspective that informs countless aspects of my lifestyle every day. Many times I hear about something first from them (e.g., intermittent fasting) and then go on to dive even deeper through a variety of other sources. Again and again, they have challenged dogmasl I held dear (and I heard this first from them). Because of my confidence in them, I pay close attention to their current and changing views. They are topnotch in their respective fields (functional medicine and nutrition) and have great synergy from teaming up. They are true humanitarians in sharing their wisdom, not commercially motivated like many or even most sources of health information.

Excellent podcast

This podcast offers great information. I can’t wait to catch up on back episodes.Constructive criticism to the hosts: you guys say each others names a lot. I just listened to the episode about intermittent fasting and Mark said “John” upwards of 50 times I bet. It’s distracting.

Highly informative and presented extremely well

As a physician assistant who listens to this podcast, I always appreciate the evidence based information but also love the way the information is presented so concisely and with such practical suggestions. Questions that arise in my head as I am listening are almost always answered by the presenters in the next breath! Don't miss this podcast - you'll truly learn something each time.

Health

I think this is one of the best -- if not the best-- holistic health podcast. It's top-notch and practical content, though it's under the radar in popularity. I recommend it to just about everyone looking for empowering health tips. It can be a "deep dive" at times.

Gleaning the good stuff

I happened upon this podcast as I'm trying to reverse pre diabetes and looking for the most effective protocol. Mark did a wonderful job in explaining great inexpensive life hacks on the podcast called "Top 10 Most Powerful (and inexpensive) Lifestyle Interventions". He listed the options for each of the top 10 and explained why they are important and what to watch for. I can't wait to hear the other podcasts from The Health Edge.Mark got to the good stuff. Many Thanks!
