It’s the gossipy, smart, witty conversation you’d have if all of your girlfriends (and some of your guy friends too!) were experts on the hot topics of the moment. High spirited and high minded, we don’t argue or whine but seek to get to the heart of the matter, over cocktails (or wine).

These ladies rock

37M single, unmarried, no kids mansplainer here. I love these two. The blend of humor and intellect, the range of issues from serious policy to workplace and social norms to parenting and dating to pop culture, the on-air chemistry between Danielle and Christina... it’s delightful and refreshing. They are the embodiment of charm and class—always polite and respectful but never dull, bland, or guarded. It’s not like anything else I listen to. I look forward to every episode and can’t get enough. The male podcasters I listen to need to step it up! Take some notes fellas! These ladies have got it going on!

One of the best out there!

Danielle and Christina are just delightful. And no matter your political or cultural leanings, they handle subjects with honesty, common sense, and a perfect balance of levity and seriousness. Great guests, amazing discussion, wonderful chemistry. One of my faves!

Two Fun Feminists...

...and how rare’s that today, sadly? Listening in on them is like hiding under the table while your cool mom & aunt are chatting, no ageism implied. You may not agree with all of it but you feel smarter.

Any single friends? Matchmaker?

45 year old divorced no kids grown up single American man. Love Christina and Danielle: class, smarts, sassy, intellectually brave, wise feminine. Might you offer a matchmaking service (more profitable than only podcast)Dating in the US is a disaster. Educated women out of touch, confused, conflicted, defended, angry, heady. To think I would be more capable of deep intimacy. Not all men are wont of embodying the mature masculine. Yet when presented it intimidates because they don’t understand the most basic polarity. So I stick with non-American women.Point being Ms Crittenden’s book * What our mothers didn’t tell us. Why happiness alludes the modern woman * foresaw - lest I knew when published ~ 2000 - would become a generational epidemic. Ditto boys. Sad, isolating, lose-lose paradox. They’re a refreshing lone voice in a sea of sexless androgyny and sameness, and take great pleasure in listening in on their chatsLWAustin TX

Catty Misogyny, Vapid Conversations

I love the empowering narrative of second wave feminism and its portrait of women as agents of their lives. When I subscribed to Femsplainers, I thought I would get a smart discussion about feminism and gender. To my disappointment, I got lots of whining about millennials (are they not having sex? Are they having meaningful sex? Why can’t they get off their phones?)and feminists who are people of color (What does race have to do with feminism? What’s the deal with intersectionality, anyway?) . I got breathy, vapid conversations with about those fabulous parties in the 80’s some thrown by Ivana Trump, and I even got Jordan Peterson lauded as a reliable, serious voice on matters of gender. This podcast is not about feminism—it is just a tired old veneer for the same tired old views about a woman’s “real” place...But don’t worry, ladies, I was not triggered nor did I need an emotional support dog. I will simply listen to The Guilty Feminist instead.

Sexy Show With Alcohol

These ladies are intelligent and witty. The hysterical part is they get labeled conservative or right wing. WRONG. These are moderates. Honestly, they lean more left if they lean one direction. But this isn’t even a partisan show. Far too nuanced and they talk about so many different cultural things to get pegged a political show.

How dare these women make any sense!

I found my people. As someone who has been completely turned off by today’s feminist movement and other extreme and nonsensical left leaning discussions, it is so encouraging and satisfying to know that there are still women out there promoting a sane and sensible view of gender politics, women’s causes and other ‘shouldn’t be a matter of polarization’ issues. I love, love these conversations and the fact that a very feminine voice has been thrusted into the intellectual dark web.

Disappointing

Enjoyed Christina’s interview on Bill Marr, so I decided to check out the podcast. Expecting an intelligent discussion, I couldn’t handle more than 5 minutes of their catty banter about people they don’t agree with. Don’t worry, I wasn’t “triggered” and I didn’t have to retreat to a safe room, I just turned it off.

Thoughtful & Fun

An intelligent show that deals with serious issues without taking themselves too seriously. One of the few places to find rational, evenhanded political discourse.

Smart, Funny, and Informative

This podcast is just like sitting down for a drink with my politically-minded friends. I savor every episode and the things I learn, and often find myself sharing the things I’ve learned in conversation.

LET CHRISTINA SPEAK!

Love the Podcast. I can't really add anything to all the positive reviews. I have follower Christina Hoff Sommers for many years and have found her sensible reasonable take on topics very insightful and refreshing.I was looking forward to her take on Game Of Thrones. I enjoyed the series and have followed the discussions in the aftermath of the its conclusion. I was looking forward to the only "femsplainer" take, but was disappointed with the "derision" from Danielle. Christina's take was again insightful and refreshing, and I would have enjoyed hearing more, but I guess I should be happy with her brief but spot on take. Thank you Christina.
