My favorite podcast

Love this podcast. Ive been a long time listener and have learned so much from these guys the laughs are great too. Ryan and Eugene are really good at interviewing their guests, asking personal questions that tie into fitness, lifestyle, and comedy. I find many of the guests relatable and really appreciate the advice and information the guys offer. Thanks for a great podcast. Keep it up!!!

More movie talk please

I mean, who doesn’t love listening to Stanger’s incredibly esoteric movie references as they tangentially relate to fitness?? Been listening since the beginning and love the content and the #jokes

OG

I’ve been listening since ep1, and every ep since. One critique tho: just not enough Australian accents

Maybe I’m shopping in the wrong aisle?

I am hunting for podcasts to discuss all things training and such for knowledge and motivation... I read that is what this is but listened to the October episode and seems it was about movies and then liking to chit chat... also read it was funny....um...🤐. Maybe I just drew the short straw on the episode I chose but I didn’t gain any insight... sorry.

Great fitness motivator

I’m a Burger Brigader who started listening to the Dumbbells after hearing Nick’s enthusiasm for the show. I’ve really appreciated the range of experience that the guests bring to the show, and the advice that Eugene and Stanger give them has helped me plan my diet and exercise routines. “Get your head in the game, Palmateer!”

Dumbbells and Doughboys

Have been binging doughboys and been constantly hungry. Thought to myself I wish this show existed but for the gym and dieting. Then they mentioned the dumbbells in Hollywood handbook and I found the Sean Clements episode. Instantly hooked by the one time he talked seriously. Making my way through the rest now and loving it all!!!

Funny and informative

These two are super funny, respectful to guests, and seem pretty knowledgeable. As a plus they seem like genuinely good people with good voices for a podcast

Helped me learn to like fitness!

This podcast taught me intermittent fasting and also gave me realistic fitness tips. I was basically sedentary for most of my life, and now I look forward to exercising because these guys make it motivating and fun. Plus they’re so hilarious that the episodes are always entertaining.

Funny, Informative, and a third thing

Best episodes to start with include: Jake And Amir, Ify Nwadiwe, Krickit, Jon Gabrus, Betsy Sodaro, Erin Mcgowin, and of course the episodes with just Eugene and Ryan

Pics or it Didn’t Happen

I love listening to this while working out for some added motivation and sometimes needed distraction. I also listen while eating nachos, so it may be a wash. Either way it’s funny and informative.

Very best fitness podcast

I subscribe to a few fitness podcasts (10 Junk Miles, Ally on the Run, Marathon Talk), but my faves are this at the Ally on the Run, with this one just edging out the latter. Stanger and Eugene are SO hilarious and they always bring on guests who are hilarious too! I'm constantly laughing out loud at the gym, which probably makes people think I'm totally insane, but at least I'm having a good time in between sets (and sometimes reps). It's an amazing mix of honest-to-goodness sincerity and my favorite kinds of humor. There are a lot of movie/TV references, which I don't always get, but I really appreciate these guys' take on fitness and a lot of other things about life.

Best Podcast EVER!

I just became a “bell head” about a month ago and I’m currently on episode 27 with Matt Selman and can’t wait to hear more! I want to tell you that I just love your podcast and want share with you how these guys have affected my personal fitness journey.Over the past 2 years, I’ve transformed my diet and seen great results then started to slip a little bit when I got comfortable at my job about 6 months ago. All of a sudden, sweets were treated like prizes and were plentiful in the office. Free food couldn’t be wasted, even if it tasted like cardboard… then I found The Dumbells podcast! You guys are right up my alley! You both have great senses of humor and a genuine desire to give valuable advice to improve the wellbeing and lives of your guests and listeners. I am a graphic designer by trade and have started walking at work (we sit a lot) and working out in my garage gym while listening after work when I would normally be eating my kids leftover pizza and nuggets while grazing in the kitchen. Needless to say, I stopped the slip in its tracks when I started listening to you guys.I have good foundations of eating in place and want to continue to grow in fitness and in health, from this day forth. I’m married to the vision I have of myself fit and capable of running, playing with my son and husband and living a happy healthy life! Turns out, food and fitness are both directly tied to happiness (serotonin) by science!I want to share my progress and develop a plan to move forward in my life with a renewed drive with The Dumbells, so THANK YOU!I’ll close with this statement: I believe that everyone of us is compelled by the nature of our being to get the very best out of what you find fulfilling in life. Big food, advertising, commercialization and the industrialization of our country over the years has clouded that natural instinct and I want to encourage and support the mantra of The Dumbells… I’m training dirty, eating clean and living in between!
