True Crime & History

This podcast is great, it combines my love of True Crime and History. Courtney is a great host and her rotating cohosts are interesting. I personally enjoy podcasts that allow friends to go on entertaining tangents, it's like hanging out with friends. Keep up the great work!

Courtney is My Fave

Courtney is so smart and completely endearing- (she is magical). You learn from the show but it's like a convo you would have with your friend over the topic- not reading a dry history book. And she loves Below Deck. So she is perfect for me :)

So much fun even with the gory details!

I wasn’t sure what kind of cult I was getting myself into BUT it was well worth the adventure. The stories presented are fascinating and the rotating cohosts keep the element of fun and surprise. I especially love the transparency around sources or a lack-thereof. There is something for everyone in these episodes and once you start it’s hard to stop!

Too much laughing to follow

I feel like the subject matter might me interesting if I could actually listen to it. I started with a recent episode, medical history it something, because I’m super interested in the topic. Unfortunately there’s so much uncontrollable laughing and giggling that you can’t follow what’s being discussed. Like it’s really bad. I’m giving three stars instead of one because I feel like they’re starting out and could use some advice, but I don’t want to be mean. I feel like sometimes we hear other podcasts that we like and we try and be like them, telling jokes and chatting, but it doesn’t always translate. In this case it’s impossible to follow the story because it’s just got too much awful laughing going on. Also it may be beneficial to find less tired material.

Life is like a Box of Chocolates...

You never know what you're going to get. The same can be said for this podcast! Courtney tackles so many different topics with different guests, and there's sure to be some ranting in between - don't even get her started on Lord Byron. :) It's always a joy to listen in, because every episode is unlike the other, and I mean that in the best way possible!

Awesomeness

They had me at funny, intelligent women discussing history and true crime. Bonus points for mentioning Victorians in the first episode which caused my husband to roll his eyes and say “oh god you’re going to be obsessed with this aren’t you?”
