Excellent Civil War Podcast
Found out about this podcast on Twitter when they started The Chickamauga episodes and that is the area I live and loved learning more about the battles around my area and being able to visualize the descriptions of the battles. Also, enjoy the back stories on figures talked about in the podcast. I hope at some point to start at the first episode and work my way through The Civil With Rich and Tracy.

Awesome!
I got interested in the Civil War after a trip to Tennessee and visits to Civil War battle fields. While searching for more info, I found this podcast. I’m only on episode 35 and I’m glad to know I have a long way to go. So many podcasts are short on the episodes and can be quickly binged out. Their calm and easy going explanation of the lead up and start of the war filled in large gaps in my education. I’m looking forward to many more road trips, walks and runs while listening to this well done podcast with my 9 year old.

Well-told story!
Rich & Tracy do a great job telling the story with just enough detail to keep it clear and vivid, without bogging things down. I am learning a ton, and just signed up for the membership because I really want to hear the extra episodes.

Great history podcast
I finished Mike Duncan’s “Revolutions,” got into Civil War history, and went looking for a new podcast. I found this one and couldn’t be happier. Top quality history podcasting with two warm, professional, wholesome hosts. It should find a place even in former president James K. Polk’s dark little expansionist heart.

Great podcast
I have just found this podcast and am looking forward to listening to all of the episodes. Rich and Tracy do a terrific job and you can tell they love the preparation and research. I like the book recommendations at the end of each episode, but it loads down my to be read list.

Excellent show
I particularly appreciate how they get into the many aspects of the Civil War that did not play out on battlefields, such as the political dynamics of the era. I was shockingly unfamiliar with the Committee on the Conduct of the War before discovering this show!

Good show.
I really like the in depth, detailed, breakdown of the battles. I also like that the episodes are broken up into series for each battle. it makes it easy to get through a whole episode during my commute and still get the details I’m looking for.

New listener
The details presented in each episode are second to none. Rich and Tracy have obviously put a lot of effort into each presentation. I will be listening, and re-listening to this podcast indefinitely. I especially like the fact that they started pre-war and intend to cover war end, and reconstruction. If the subject of the civil war is of interest to you, this is a must hear show. I have researched my ancestry and discovered that I have relatives that served in the Union Army from Michigan and Ohio.

Excellent Research-Poor Presentation
This podcast touches on human nature, sociology, history, politics, economics, geography, personalities, relationships. Every aspect of life that contributes to the making of a War. But the couple doing the research also present the material, broadcasting is no their talent. They should hire some pros to make the presentation.

Wonderful Detail
I started at the beginning two weeks ago, and am now up to #40. At this rate I’ll make the current ones by July. I love this. I’m not an historian or even a Civil War junkie, but I did grow up in Gettysburg and do pride myself on some knowledge. This is a great series. Thanks.
