Binge worthy!

This is my first year gardening and what started off as a small interest has grown into a much larger obsession. I stumbled upon your podcast simply googling something I had questions about and one episode lead to the next which lead to me listening to everyone of them 2 or 3 times over and still gathering information. My plans for next year extend beyond a second year gardener and these podcast gave me the tools to prepare.

Best Podcast for any Gardener

Jill is a delightful person and this podcast helps me hold a desk job and get equipped for having a garden outside at the same time! The information is so helpful and while a little fast for me, I know as I get better it will all make sense. I listen to these over and over and pick up new information every time. She is active in her Facebook group and surprisingly will respond even with all the things she must have going on. Thank you!

Glad I found this podcast!

I love listening to podcasts, especially when I drive (and sometimes in the garden). I’ve had a hard time finding podcasts that I really like. The first podcast of yours that I listened to was about your favorite podcasts- I already listen to most of them but I found a couple new ones, including yours! So far, great information with actual science behind it. I also love the end of your podcasts- gardening and God- yay!

First year gardening

My husband and I put in a raised bed this year. Got started late and finished after everybody else’s gardens were well under way. So didn’t have big plans for this year and were holding out for next next Spring. However, while looking for things to plant in July in Arkansas I found another Arkansas native telling me it was ok to plant this time of year. And you know what I planted those tomatoes and plucked off those bottom leaves as they turned yellow. Now while everyone else’s tomatoes are gone mine look great with tomatoes coming off of them every day. AND I have peas and lettuce in the ground. Next year will be better but this year wouldn’t have been this great without your guidance. Keep up the great podcast.

Homegrown tastes better

So glad I listen to this podcast. It was eye-opening, but such common sense. I have a very small garden and have thoroughly enjoyed our tomatoes and jalapeños this year. I’m looking to expand it for next year. Understanding the difference in taste for homegrown versus store-bought really makes me enthusiastic about growing more. Thanks for the information!

So glad I found this podcast!

I am so glad I found this podcast. I have a newfound interest in gardening and plant to have a small raised bed ready for next season. There is so much great info on here to help me get ready. But I’m also thrilled that I finally found a podcast that interests me that includes a small application to scripture with each episode. I’m tired of looking for an interesting podcast that does not use profanity. Now, I’ve found one, and it also points others to Jesus. Thank you!!

Good for beginners

I came to this podcast as a novice gardener, looking to better my herbs and composting, and this podcast achieves that and more. I would have given more stars, but this podcast also frequently peddles the artist/author’s Christian-based garden philosophy book in which gardening is compared metaphorically to Jesus’ love etcetc. I have no problem with this, it’s just not what I’m looking for in a gardening podcast. There is no mention of the Christian-based gardening philosophy in the podcast description as of this review. Cheers!

The gardening podcast I was looking for!

As a year 3 raised bed gardener, I am loving the discussions and ideas that Jill talks about in the podcast. I will often go straight from listening into the garden to prune a new way or take a second look at how I am doing things - or just get in the garden. Thank you thank you!

Just Perfect

Absolutely a wonderful podcast! Jill makes sure to cover each topic throughly without making it complicated. It’s the perfect amount of information to get you excited and feeling confident without being overwhelmed. While I am not particularly religious, the dig deeper section is still an inspiring and refreshing reminder to reflect on the world and our place in it. She has such a wonderful soothing voice that is a delight to listen to. Could not recommend this podcast enough!

Great encouraging feedback for a new or old gardener!

I love listening to Jill (and guests) while multitasking around the house or garden. I have a small raised bed in my East TN backyard and have learned so much from Jill through this podcast. I also love that she provides wisdom and encouragement through scripture. As a 32 year old housewife, it’s so nice to hear encouraging words from other women.

Might try gardening..

I love this podcast! I’ve been thinking about starting a veggie garden so much of the information I’ve researched online was complicated to me. This podcast breaks it down and makes me feel like I could actually do this!

Inspirational

My kids wanted to start a garden, but convinced I have a brown thumb and having never particularly enjoyed gardening in the past, I wasn’t too enthusiastic about the idea. After listening to The Beginner’s Garden Podcast, I’m now as excited as my kids are to grow a garden! I’ve learned so much and feel like I might actually be able to successfully garden now.

Pleasantly surprised!

I was so surprised with this podcast. I thought I was getting some tips and tricks for my new raised garden bed, but her “DIGGING DEAPER” section was so very refreshing and I was literally lead to her from Pinterest. I am a Christian and am so happy that she includes this relevant section to the topic of gardening and how God has used her to reach others!!! So awesome!

Amazing podcast with a fresh delivery!

I was so excited when I found this podcast!!!! My husband and I are starting our first garden EVER in a few weeks and I knew we needed some guidance or else it would be a huge failure! This podcast was PERFECT! We have found so many helpful tips from Jill’s experience! I also love the way she delivers her content. It’s so organized, but not stuffy, boring, or overwhelming! I just recently ordered the Garden Planner and I can’t wait to get started using that as well!!! Thanks for this amazing podcast Jill!!!!
