A Class Act

Brian Williams Show is filled with original and very incisive journalism and thorough examination by top analysts and experts. Williams is gentle, careful and always expresses explicit gratitude to those he works with. As a side note, Williams rise after the scandal that almost ended his career with NBC is truly extraordinary and he’s now an even better newsman as he was before that.

Sellout

I absolutely LOVED listening to Rachel until she was given a huge raise a few years back. Now, all she talks about is Russia. And Trump. And very little on what really matters to the average listener. Money corrupts and I’m afraid it has changed Rachel’s morals and ethics. NBC bought her and now she has become a megaphone for the huge corporation who pays her, like the rest of NBC’s commentators. The fair-minded ones have left, or have been fired. So disappointed in her choices. And now her show is tanking…

Morning routine

I start every morning with a cup of tea and The Eleventh Hour. This morning I was quite disappointed when Brian, Eugene Robinson, and Rick Wilson made fun of poverty. When talking about Trump’s rally participants, they made made a joke about people wearing their formal flip-flops. Why do people wear flip-flops? They wear them because they are available at the dollar store and can afford them and still put food on the table. Talk about how ill informed they are, but do not make jest of poverty. This is why they distrust the democrats. We need to be respectful of their despair.

Thank you

I listen every day to your podcast without disappointment. With all the disbursing news I really appreciate that you ended with President Johnson’s speech. I was too young to know him but I will go look it up. So again thanks for sharing.

Too Much Trump Audio

I love the podcast, but I find I have to skip too many clips of Trump’s voice—can’t even listen to him at this point. Can’t you just quote him? All he does is lie, anyway.

Loss of Respect

Mr. Willams I had such respect for your approach at reporting real news. I was excited to see you had this show and looked forward to hearing you deliver it equally. I guess I should have known you have followed your coworkers down the rabbit hole. So sad.

I like The 11th Hour, but

I wish Williams would invite more progressive experts to question, such as Sarah Kendzior, Andrea Chalupa, and in the case of the Jan. 29 show, Seth Abramson, to talk about the Trump-Russia investigation and Mueller’s work. Everyone on tonight said the investigation is about to wrap up, but there are other, more informed, perspectives. I find that Maddow and Joy Reid are more open to hearing these perspectives, but Williams honestly shouldn’t just have a chorus toeing the (Trump) party line on his show.

Wake up to THIS

Grown so weary of the Morning Joe garbage. This is what I wake up and listen to, instead, to get my news. Highly thoughtful, light on punditry, rich in newsy analysis.
