What would I do without Graham and Dave?

Thanks for giving me something to look forward to on Monday. I listen to a lot of podcasts while working (often outside) and you’ve helped me laugh through many tough days.

Shrug?

Why should I care about these people? I would hate to be stuck in an elevator with them. All small talk and badly done. Their name is perfectly prescient. Please take your own advice!!!!

They go together like amburgers & woot beer

I just can’t with these two. Graham is a phenomenal interviewer & Dave’s memory/callbacks + references are incredible. They bring out the absurdity and hilarity in each other and their guests, resulting in sidesplitting laughter. Their inclusion of listeners’ overheards & participation in SPY social media groups has built a real community, making episodes feel like hangouts vs. being talked at for an hour+. The guests are always great and eps w/repeat guests, ex: Charlie Demers, Nicole Passmore, Taz Van Rassel, Abby Shumka, et al., are like when McDonalds brings the McRib back - a tasty treat! *Full disclosure: I’ve never had a McRib, but the ppl I know who have act like their manna.

So great!

This is such a fun show! A good break from the depressing news podcasts I also listen to. I ♥️ the theme songs for the segments!

Best. Show. Ever.

This is still the #1 podcast available ANYWHERE. These guys are perfection. The only thing close to a bad episode (I have listened to literally every episode to date) was years ago when that one schmuck had Abby fetch him a beer. (Can't remember his name, glad not to give him more ink--clown.)I love this show! All my maxfun donations go to SPY. Please don't ever stop!

You Had Me @ CeCe PENISton

I've been telling my friends to listen so I can talk about the podcast more. Not only is it hilarious, but educational too! I've learned so many WWF characters' names. Also the recap blog supplements the "theater of the mind" for those of us that are imaginatively impaired. Edit: I wrote this review years wgo and forgot to hit send. I stand by this review and thanks to Bita!

I wish I was a Canadian comedian so I could be a guest

One time Graham made a Tombstone Pizza joke which was funny and because they’re in Canada, the guest wasn’t familiar with the brand and got really confused which made it way more funny when he assumed the pizza was actually shaped like a tombstone. Funny stuff.

SPY Joy

I’ve been listening to Stop Podcasting Yourself for so long now, and it never ceases to bring me joy. Dave and Graham are natural with their guests. It’s the only podcast I’ve ever had to pause because I was laughing so hard.

My favorite podcast

I've been listening for years. Other podcasts have come and gone, but this is the only one that I've stuck with. It's a funny show with comedians that you might not get much exposure to unless you live in Vancouver, BC. It's fun listening to the progression of Dave and Graham from their 20's into their thirties. Dave gets engaged and married and has kids, and Graham keeps after that stand up/comedy dream with different show ideas that I wish I could have gone to see live. At this point these guys seem like my friends. I'm a total Dave personality-wise, but I live more like Graham.

My new favorite podcast

I listen to a TON of comedy podcasts, but SPY has surpassed them all to be my favorite because of it's unmatched consistency of quality. This podcast is not only good, it's ALWAYS good. Sometimes they have a big name guest on, and that's great. Sometimes they have a Canadian guest on I've never heard of, and I get to learn about a new comedian who I quickly become a fan of, and sometimes it's just them and this is the only podcast where that isn't a problem.
