397 Episodes | First Released: Jan 7 '10
Every week on Spilled Milk, writers/comedians Molly Wizenberg and Matthew Amster-Burton start with a food-related topic, from apples to winter squash, and run with it as far as they can go—and, regrettably, sometimes further.

Great chemistry between hosts

I have been listening to spilled milk for over a year now and I never missed an episode. Molly and Matthew make me laugh so hard every Thursday ( and other days too because I keep coming back for more ) .I love when they share things about their childhood, current life and parents . They make me feel better on a gloomy day for sure !

Longtime listener, first time reviewer!

I’ve listened to every episode on a weekly basis for several years at this point! I usually listen to the weekly episode when it first comes out even if I have stacks of other podcast episodes waiting for me. Molly and Matthew always make me laugh and they can never quit making this little treasure of a podcast!

Like

Must you use the word “like” all the time. The topics are interesting. I would rank the show much higher otherwise

“Like” filler

I really wanted to “like” this podcast, unfortunately EVERY OTHER WORD used is “like”. I can’t get past the filler word used MULTIPLE times in a single sentence by the hosts. Very disappointed.

Soooo Pretentious

Possibly the least informative food podcast around. Molly and Matthew are completely obnoxiously catty and pretentious, which in and of itself, can be entertaining, however the number of times they “admit” that they don’t know the facts behind their topic is extremely annoying. Mostly a waste of time.

Best use of my time

This is the first podcast I ever listened to and I am still as devoted to it now as I was when I first started listening. I find myself laughing out loud multiple times during every episode no matter what the subject is. I always know I’m in for a hilarious time

Exactly what I like

This is exactly my podcast taste: two people with good friend chemistry talking about a topic but mostly talking about themselves and their lives. I love a podcast that will talk about dish washing or Whole Foods minutiae. As a vegan most of the episodes are nostalgic as I can’t eat most of the things they talk about. I love listening to Molly and Matthew talk about their families and home lives, especially Molly because I am also queer with a non binary partner. I love how casually they will have bra ads and other ads for things most men probably wouldn’t want to advertise. Molly brings up her period and it’s discussed naturally - not earth shattering things but it’s not really heard with a male host. Great show, looking forward to having so many episodes to go back and listen to.

New to podcasts - never turning back

I stumbled upon this podcast and now it’s a part of my weekly routine. If I can’t fall asleep? Spilled Milk. If I have a long drive to work? Spilled Milk. When I’m cleaning the house? Spilled Milk. Molly and Matthew are the kind of people I want to hang out with and many podcast hosts have a hard time finding that vibe. The format is great, I learn some things and laugh. It’s like hanging out with your friends at a coffee shop without having to put pants on. Thanks to killin’ the podcast game!

Good lort this show is awful

This show is a complete and utter waste of time. The hosts babble, not offering any useful or entertaining information. What they do is ramble and incessantly talk over each other as if they were caffeinated teenagers. The host says “like” as if it were the only word he knows and the hostess says “anyways” to dismiss her counterparts repeated unhumorous interruptions. The rapid fire chatter is vapid and they don’t appear to do research beyond Google and YouTube. In the Frozen Fruit episode it took 15 minutes of a 40 minute show before they got around to the topic at hand.I see their good intentions and hope they find and much needed editor, some focus and definitely and outline.
