Not as advertised

I wish he’d stay on topic and stop the sanctimonious preaching. If I wanted a religion podcast, which I don’t, I’d look for one.

Uneven podcast

Overall, it's uneven. Some episodes give great info, but unfortunately those are lost among episodes of rambling...about his personal life (don't care), about his latest book, calculator, webinar, etc. (tired of podcast people hawking their products), about his religion (skip the first 2 minutes, you won't miss anything except a stupid joke and bible verse), etc. I also don't want to have Christianity shoved onto me. I want retirement advice, that's all. Overall, it's an okay podcast but not great. Don't expect a lot and be prepared to be witnessed to, and you might glean a good piece of info here and there.

Invaluable and actionable 🙌

I appreciate the variety of episodes, the super practical takeaways, and Jason's sincere humility - giving all this amazing knowledge to the listeners for free. The great content and advice he provides, combined with the relatable way in which it's delivered had me hooked from the very first listen - can't recommend this show enough!

Informative and fun

Jason is knowledgable and covers great topics. I also love the scripture verse and joke with every episode. Keep up the good work.

Not much there

After given this podcast six months I finally decided to unsubscribe. Being in my mid 50s I’m always looking for helpful resources to prepare for retirement. There have been a few decent episodes but mostly the topics have been bland and had little value. A good example is the most recent episode when he started out reviewing an update to his book and said he would give a highlight of each chapter. I was generally interested and considering buying the book but halfway through he started rambling about his wife’s job, his superpower and why airlines should not allow carry on bags. After wasting all that time they ended the show without covering all the chapters because they ran out of time. My suggestion is to pick a topic, stick to it and stop the playful banter with the assistant. It’s annoying. Sorry for the strong criticism. I’m just trying to be honest.

Nope

When they started off with a Bible verse to begin the first episode I heard, I thought, "This seems odd...but maybe they just include some nice quote at the beginning of each episode." Then I listened to another one, and once, again...Bible verse. And not even one that had a thing to do with money or investing. Religion has a place in life, but (unless your client is a monk or something) NOT in financial planning! May I suggest a refresher on the first few verses of Matthew 6?

Great Retirement Podcast

Great podcast. I have been listening for a while now on by drive to and from work. Coming into the podcast site I noticed I am not subscribed. I do not know what happened but I am glad I saw it. I was wondering why I have not see new podcast recently. Great job on getting good information to all of us. I did not know very much to start with and I feel I am going to be better prepared for retirement now. Maybe I can even retire a bit early.

Very helpful financial advice

Jason Parker and team are incredibly helpful in understanding the many topics surrounding retirement planning. I really appreciate his insightful information on topics that are not always strightforward and clear. I highly recommend Jason's podcasts and if you need it, consulting advice. His seminar offered at Olympic College was also incredibly informative in wading through a myriad of complex retirement topics.

Very Infomative

Very good podcast. I look forward to it every week. I enjoy the insights into the topics and strategies covered. My suggestions would be to make it more interactive - maybe a section with listener questions - also maybe a case study once in a while.
