Dec. 21, 2019 episode

It sucked!!! If I want to listen to lies, bs and conspiracy theories then I can just listen to Fox News which I wouldn’t do if they were the only news agency on the planet!!! A total waste of time and energy!!! I don’t know yet if I’ll be listening to anymore of these podcasts! I thought you guys were better than that! My mistake!!!

Could be a great podcast but...

The information given in these interviews is great, but the fact that 60% of the time they are talking over each other just makes it a struggle to listen through it. Stop talking over your guests! We can’t understand either of you

Very disappointed in your inability to control your right wing guests

I’m a political moderate. You guys are excellent reporters. But you let Elizabeth Harrington run roughshod all over you today. You let her just keep talking and you guys never skillfully rebutted her arguments. It’s the “Jim Jordan motor mouth” style of debating and you fell right into it. At least with Congressman Raskin, you asked good questions. Very very disappointing overall. Time to unsubscribe.

Bothsidesism

Once again another “bothsidesism”. Take some responsibility for you part in dividing the nation! Sick of the media spouting on and on about Partisanship & not seeing their part in it. Facts are facts! Giving space to both sides of any story, no matter what the facts show, leaving them open to manipulation by surrogates acting in bad faith and, more worrying, making it harder for ordinary citizens to remain informed and engaged.

Stop w the tired argument

You keep blathering on about the impeachment argument about it being partisan and therefore invalid- this would be a valid point if we lived in normal reality. I don’t think it is partisan to realized that the republicans are just ignoring reality to vote against impeachment.

Disappointed

Michael Isikoff is a well-known journalist. I had great hopes for this podcast after his excellent effort in tracking down the roots of the enraging Seth Rich calumny and those who spread it willingly to serve their own purposes. Sadly, what Isikoff too often demonstrates is a keen grasp of conventional wisdom and received knowledge and is willing to waste time making “points” and seeking from his guests answers to questions based in the intellectual dishonesty of the GOP and the craven Trumpist Right Wing. I cannot help but feel that Isikoff wants desperately to avoid the tag of a “liberal journalist” and for that reason feels the need to give equal time to every crackpot accusation and theory mounted by those who have caused and continue to enable the patently dysfunctional, corrupt administration under which we all suffer. Isikoff should spend less time trying to satisfy those on the Right who would level accusations of liberal bias and more time using his own judgment (which surely he has honed over time) in sorting wheat from chaff and presenting to his listening audience the unvarnished truth about a party and a president who have zero allegiance to the facts or, apparently, this country.

Essential listening for the Trump era

Michael Isikoff and Dan Klaidman break down the nitty gritty of all the law breaking and bending done by the Trump administration. Isikoff is great because he plays devil’s advocate with Klaidman and makes it so it’s not just Trump bashing but also so all points of view are heard. But they’re reporting is top notch and I can’t recommend this podcast more highly.

Rep. Peter King

Mr King justifies Trump behavior because of the Mueller investigation. Dems were mean to Trump after 2016 , calling him a server of Russia. Trumps new crime is a continuation of 2015-16. All roads lead to Moscow. Brennen, Clapper, and Comey were correct , and Mueller didn’t try hard enough. Why didn’t you tough journalists point that out? You jumped all over fellow journalist, Rachel Maddow. Hold political people to a higher standard than tv personalities, please.

Mrs Dingell mentioned several times how divided the nation is. My question to her is does she think it’s going to get less divided if Trump is allowed to stay in office?

Enjoy muddy water folks?!

If you like hearing people regurgitating headlines and dumbing questions down to fit into a both sides debate then this is the show for you. It may, may count as entertainment but journalism it is not. All I hear is a mouth piece for power. Maybe that worked in a different time, or maybe that’s why we’re here folks. Either way when you hear isakoff outraged about peter struks emails & claim,”imagine if the FBI talked like that about Clinton.” And not mention a whole ny field office leaking info about her to fox and threaten worse, pressuring comey, you know ya got a stooge on your hands. Sounds to me like they get their talking points memo, dull the edges and call themselves the center. Of all the institutions that fail us, the media pains me the most. It’s the isakofs & their prized Rolodex that will shatter this republic.

Good show! Mostly

I stumbled into this show. I don’t know anything about it. It may even be created by people I despise! Still haven’t checked. Ive never looked into it. I just liked it. Great flow and insightful. It’s become one of my top 5. However, the kavanaugh episode. I guess I realized at this episode that this was a show by boomers. Like baby boomers. It’s okay, I can get past it. But I do think I have to say something. It is both possible to be raped and not remember being raped. Frankly, I would guess it’s fairly common. Not remembering a crime is irrelevant. Mostly. And I’ve never been raped or anything. It just seems like pretty basic logic being omitted from this conversation. Let’s end on a positive, Ive never been bothered by anything in the show before and think we need more perspectives like this.
