Love!

This podcast is so needed. I don’t think people understand how having a great group of people around you can affect your everyday life. Even me sometimes! I absolutely love this! ❤️

Bringing Out the Best.

Justine is not only a soul that you naturally want to be around, but someone who makes you feel like you're already best friends - simply by her authentic energy and the way she openly invites you into her life. Honestly, I've never met someone who is so good at being HERSELF. Sounds pretty simple, but it's a characteristic that is exceptionally rare these days. With each episode, she unknowingly showcases her talent of connecting with others and pulling out THEIR best self with real, unfiltered topics. --- "Showing off her friends" is a true testimate to who Justine is as a genuine spirit and a cheerleader to everyone around her.

With friends like this...

I love listening to this podcast. While I started because of the Candace Parker episode, I came back for the others because I enjoy hearing about the unique relationships Justine has with each of these amazing people. Also have to admit I’m just a little jealous of them! I gotta do better at building these type of friendships. Anybody have Oprah or Ellen’s number? 😏

Mental health with Cobb was dope.

The stigma about black men and mental health issues was spot on. In our community we are expected to just deal with whatever comes at us without emotions. Unless that emotion is anger, then it is acceptable. Showing signs of sadness or loneliness will often times get you labeled as weak or soft. It is an issue in every community and should be talked about more openly without judgement. The one thing I never knew until I had a mental breakdown and was prescribed antidepressants... was how many of my friends were already on them and had been for years. I’m not saying that everyone should be medicated but something as simple as having someone to talk to that’s unbiased about your life and situation can help a lot.
