Larry Markowski reported that he took a nap in his van while Bethany went inside the mall. Sixteen years later, Jonnie Carter, Bethany’s mother, is telling all. She is revealing things never before made public. Season 2 of Searching For Ghosts will try to answer the question: Where is Bethany Markowski? Available on your favorite podcasting platform.

Great Job Brandon!

I have followed you through both seasons of SFG. I was thrilled to see the Season 1 update tonight. It doesn’t bring Cayce back, but it is a thrill to know that someone is now being held responsible. You played an absolute part in that arrest. I look forward to whatever’s coming next. Best!

Well made

This podcast really hits home for me. I was a little girl in Milan, TN when Cayce McDaniels went missing and lived in her house just a few months after her mother moved out. It's so strange to find out all of the details now as an adult. What a well done podcast.

Stop The Music

This is an interesting story. I grew up about 30 miles from Jackson, and as a child knew old hickory mall well. However, the constant music interludes do nothing to enhance the podcast. They are annoying to the point that I’m probably not going to finish this podcast. I recommend that the producer try listening to some other well produced podcast. You will learn that it is possible to transition between two speakers without playing music.

Dear Lord the music

Get to the story already. And, my god, the music. It’s repetitive. It makes me dizzy when listening with ear buds. It is too loud. It’s distracting.

Music

I listen to podcasts with ear buds. The way you have your music go in and out in each ear makes me dizzy, takes away from your talent, and it’s terrible. The music is nice, but holy crap. Also gets to be a little repetitive.

Very interesting cases

I found this podcast by accident and I enjoyed season 1. Both seasons are interesting cases. The only thing that I don’t care for is the same information is told from the previous episode. For example, I’ve heard about Bethany telling her friend about her new cell phone in two or three episodes now. Again, I enjoy the podcast and I’m sure it’s not easy.

Great

Just needs less annoying music and longer episodes.

Interesting cases but..

Has a few drawbacks - The episodes are extremely short and I can’t get over the shameless, constant plugs for the host’s music. About ready to throw in the towel!

Subpar

I have listened to every episode of each season of this podcast. I live in Memphis but my entire family is from Jackson and Milan(some still living there) so it was incredibly intriguing to me. Being able to picture certain areas, etc. draws me in. However, I find myself annoyed at the narrator and the amount of music interludes. They seem to have shortened some, but not much. At some points even the over dramatic deflection in his voice is obnoxious. I also prefer longer episodes. Waiting a week for a 20 minute Podcast, most of which seems to be a lot of replay info from past episodes, is becoming increasingly irritating.

Good Effort, Sloppy Delivery

I had high hopes for this podcast. Being from Gibson County and my parents knowing many of the people involved and mentioned in the podcast, I was hoping for an engaging thorough investigation. Instead what you get is Brandon basically calling everyone from Milan stuck up in the very first episode, 15 minute episodes with 4 minutes of music breaks, and very poorly edited interviews. I understand Brandon isn’t an investigative reporter (he states this several times); however the poor research on this podcast makes it seem to me that Brandon was a guy who enjoyed true crime podcasts and thought he could easily do one himself. I listen to a lot of true crime podcasts (everything from SKS to MFM), and this has to be one of the most poorly executed ones I’ve ever heard. I would love for someone like LPOTF to do some episodes on this case. They would maybe do a better job engaging people instead of letting people ramble and replying “yeah” every 2 minutes.
