Good content, distracting sound design

Please please please can we have voice audio without back ground music tracks. There is also the issue of over lapping voice tracks. Both issues ultimately greatly distract from the interesting content.

Sound quality needs improvement

I mostly enjoy the content of the Podcasts however I find the sound quality irritating. There seems to be inconsistency on the volume level and quality of recording. I’m constantly having to adjust the volume control to be able to hear and understand guests. Needs to improve on this.

Good range of subjects but

Good range of subjects but poor delivery. Slow, simplistic with long empty pauses filled with background irrelevant music.

Generally good but...

Hi guardian! I used to love this podcast until now, today’s episode on social inequality, how can you say that Italy is a socially equal country with relation to income? We really have an unequal society, with the divide getting bigger and bigger - maybe we have less depression because at least we still have some solidarity. Because of this I have to start doubting what I hear on your podcasts, it is a shame....

Had to unsubscribe

After being a regular listener for several years, I had to unsubscribe because the production style had made the podcast unlistenable for me. Constant "spooky" background music, ooh-how-exciting presentation style (bring back Ian Sample!), and the ever-present cliche of playing snippets of the presenters introducing themselves to guests or speaking into their intercoms. A shame, because even now the content is often interesting, but I literally cannot bear to listen to it any more.

Always informative

Good but short weekly science podcast, covering a vast range of recent science news, with occasional episodes focused on single subjects. Well worth subscribing!

Very, Very Good Podcast

I cannot recommend this podcast enough. Awesome guests and pitched at just the right level. Not overly technical but at the same time not dumbed down. Alok is a great host.

Very informative

Insightful, entertaining and though provoking. Alok and his team of experts bring a "consumer" package of science news to the lay person. Great interviews and just enought depth to keep the average punter informed. I'm recommending this to everyone.
