Published by: Stitcher & Bill Nye
29 Episodes | First Released: Apr 23 | 🇺🇸
Bill Nye is on a mission to change the world— one phone call at a time. He’ll tackle your curliest questions on just about anything in the universe. Give him a call! Perhaps you’ve wondered: Should I stop eating cheeseburgers to combat climate change? How often should I really be washing my pillowcase? Can I harvest energy from all those static-electricity shocks I get in the winter? With a little help from his co-host Corey S. Powell, field experts, and special celebrity guests, Bill will answer those questions and convince you that science rules!

Exceptional Science Education

Thank you, Misters Nye and Powell, for working on this exemplary podcast. I appreciate that you bring in third party experts to discuss each episode’s topic; I would request inviting even more (perhaps two per topic, over just one) to create even more informative content! Thank you!

Science Views, Like Biology, Evolves

This podcast is a great presentation of the science around some very hot button issues in our current society. Just because a political viewpoint can deny science doesn’t mean that acknowledging the science puts you in any political camp. If you are unwilling to have your viewpoints on anything challenged then this podcast, heck science in general, may not be for you. Great show! Bill Nye is a treasure.

Science!

Bill Nye’s preachy tone is mostly absent here, and I am glad of that change in his demeanor since his show in Netflix. These podcasts applaud science in a positive, jovial way. I did not miss that he gets his sponsorship from a company whose socially (not scientifically) controversial breeding advancements may trigger some backlash from sensitive listeners. The scientific consensus is out on climate change, vaccines and GMOs alike. If you’re looking for a podcast to reaffirm your steadfast religious/tribal/political viewpoint, and that viewpoint contradicts mainstream science, this podcast may not be for you.

Sell out

I really loved this podcast until Bill sold out to Monsanto and agricultural chemicals and gave no counter argument during the discussion nor did he ever talk about other conservation practices that could avoid chemical use and create a healthier environment. What a sad moment your childhood science hero took money over knowledge and curiosity.

Loved the episode! Still concerned about the bees...

This was great! Would love to see an episode about agriculture and it’s impact on the ecology of the world, micro and macro level! Many questions there arose for me during this episode.

[Not} A force for good in the universe

Love this podcast. Bill Nye is smart and is absolutely hilarious. [EDIT 11/23/19] I just noticed this podcast is sponsered by, alleged bee killing biotech company, Bayer. The GMO episode implies that Monanto's Round-Up is perfectly safe for humans. The episode doesn’t even make clear why an insecticide is considered in a GMO discussion - I assumed (wrongly I guess) GMO meant modifiying seeds. Bill's got some 'splainin to do and he does not do a good in this episode. A full throated endorsement of Monsanto, like this episode is, needs to be accompanied by an equally compelling argument as to the why. Educate us Bill. I'm ready I'm open

Sell Out

Would’ve been great if Bill didn’t sell out to Monsanto, anything for a buck I guess. Maybe money and viewers are more important than unbiased science and research.

Amazing

This podcast is great! Bill is cheesy, yes, and he tries to keep the guests on topic and not ramble, yes, but it is necessary and good. Cory is a great co-host and they balance each other out well. I love that they don’t judge a caller’s questions. Except that proposal call-in was so awkward it hurt my innards. Maybe cut that one out!

Too much fluff

I found myself fast forwarding a lot to get to the interesting discussion. The guests had a lot to offer but got cut off a lot.

At a time when we NEED SCIENCE

The Bill Nye I loved as a kid now has an adult version! Sometimes I wish it was easier topics like when I was a kid, fission versus fusion for energy can be harder to keep up with lol He explains it in a way I can *understand* lol There are some episodes which the topic doesn't interest me but there are also some I never thought I would find intersting but started listening and found fascinating! Bill Nye is a super star!!!!
