The Green Party co-leader James Shaw has been dealt two hefty blows - not only the confirmation the capital gains tax has been ditched but that Jacinda Ardern has also taken it off the table as long as she is Prime Minister. In February he suggested on this programme that the government didn't deserved to be re-elected if it didn't follow through with a capital gains tax. Now he's changed his mind saying they do deserve to be re-elected for their work on climate change, tackling homelessness, and cleaning up rivers. James Shaw is the Associate Minister of Finance, and the co-leader of the Green Party. He joins Susie Ferguson in the Wellington studio.
