    Not for me

Too much inappropriate laughter for the subject matter . Very disrespectful to the victims of the crime. Do not recommend . There are far better true crime podcasts out there . Not well researched. Unsubscribes

    Great but bin the politics

I enjoy listening to these two articulate and confident women who put a lot of effort into researching and presenting a great crime show but their political views which are forced on to the listener are a big turn off.

    Couldn’t listen to whole episode

What a shame I couldn’t learn more about some of the subjects covered because of the obscenities. When these girls learn some new words to replace the “f-word” I’d love to listen to more.

    Fab

Love the show, great cases. It would be grand if H and S could be somewhere on the same volume spectrum. I strain to hear Saruthi’s whisper and then get slammed by Hannah’s bellowing. If the sound technician could balance that, I’d love it even more.

    Fantastic!

Really interesting cases, and well researched. The hosts are outstanding—compassionate and occasionally outraged, hilariously opinionated (Hannah: “[The killer] thought they would never find it! But they found it. Because the police find things!”). Love this show and hope there’s lots more to come. Addition: Just listened to Episode 192. I can’t say enough about these podcasters. Love their thoughtful research and their clear-eyed ethical outrage. Thank you for everything you do. You are awesome.

    Episode 192

My first foray into these podcasts ....after about 10 minutes I had to turn it off as I found the expletive used by one of the narrators to be very offensive and completely superfluous to the story. Very bad taste!! No need for it at all.

    Not for everyone

I subscribed to this podcast as I love true crime but I have to agree that it’s become very political and seems like it’s just a tool for the two hosts to express their opinions on various topics which wasn’t what I was looking for. Interestingly, I agree with most of their political opinions so it isn’t that it’s grating on my because I disagree, it’s just that I find it a bit tiresome how much time the hosts spend focusing on themselves and their own opinions. I also have to question the level of graphic detail that is reported. The episode on the ant hill cult actually made me sick in my mouth! It’s too much for me! Saying all that I think it’s obvious that a lot of research goes into each case and there is lots of information presented which I enjoy. I haven’t unsubscribed (yet!).

Dreadful... TC or politics podcast ?? Nothing worse than a political narrative when hosts know buggar all about politics anyway... awful. Smh. Comments say both seem intelligent... do me a favour. They need to read some books about politics and not what’s spoon fed if they want to preach!!! Educate yourselves start with banned books and ask why they are banned maybe

Brilliant, look forward to every episode

I LOVE this podcast, the hosts are insightful funny and considerate in the way they explore quite sensitive issues. I have been listening for some time but was driven to write this review after listening to the modern slavery episode. Really refreshing to hear something that’s rarely spoken about dissected and discussed by people who clearly do extensive research.

    Overall great

The research and delivery of the true crime cases on this show are amazing. The things that the hosts, especially Hannah, “can’t understand” and “just don’t get” and judge others for are innumerable. She cAN’t UndErsTanD why a father would name his son after himself (uhhhh fairly common practice), why American cities are called cities if they don’t have a cathedral (???? Excuse me? Does every city in the world have a cathedral?), and why people take cruise holidays, nor does she understand why they go hiking or camping, or why football is popular in American universities. Don’t you dare call your mother “mom” instead of “mum.” For someone who claims to be an anthropologist and have traveled and lived abroad, she’s still very narrow minded and ignorant. If she doesn’t understand the personal choices of the people in the cases she seems to lose respect for them, even if they’re a murder victim 🙄

    My favourite True Crime podcast!

Dare I say it…better than My Favourite Murder! I love how they get straight into the stories, not too much chat which is sometimes the case with MFM but also just enough chat for the hosts personalities to show. Cases are on the whole fab unknown cases, you can tell how much research goes into them. I absolutely love how graphic they are! Let’s be real, if you’re listening to True Crime you want the DIRTY DETAILS and they serve them up. Well done girls you’re amazing and have kept me from boredom this lockdown! I can’t wait to sit down and do mundane working from home jobs with Redhanded on in the background!

    Too political

This used to be my favourite true crime podcast. Unfortunately it’s now become more about politics than crime. If I wanted to hear someone’s opinion on politics I would subscribe to a political podcast. Not for me anymore - unsubscribed

    Tactless

The banter is tactless in an environment where true crime is discussed. There is nothing funny about it and definitely not uplifting, but irritating and disrespectful. And I cannot help it, but I am not sure why the swearing is necessary. Especially when it comes across as scripted and forced. I am out.
