EMPOWERED!

I cannot thank Yvette enough for continually bringing up important issues that are often not brought to the table in the immigration discourse. I appreciate her for bringing her experiences with this platform. I am empowered with all the knowledge I learn on her podcast! Thank you for allowing us to learn and grow with you Yvette! ✨💛

First listen: keep your heart soft

A very important topic, 2 well-versed Salvadoreña attorneys and I’ll keep listening – my one suggestion is purely technical, the guest being interviewed ought to have their own microphone or there ought to be equal distance for interviewer & guest from an omni directional mike - that would greatly improve the listeners’ learning

PHENOMENAL

I don’t think I can possibly string together the perfect words to sum up how much I love this podcast. Nothing compares to it. I’m so grateful to Cynthia and Yvette for sharing their stories and also equipping me with a language to talk about the systemic oppression that I have experienced. I recognize things like respectability politics and gaslighting and other oppressive functions of society after learning about them on this podcast. I love how real they are. I just love this podcast. Would give it a million stars if I could.

Good starting point, not all the way there

This is a good starting point for folks, but I was so disappointed when I started hearing sympathy for white people and hearing that the host believed in reverse racism. I think the host needs some more educating.
