New kid in town

I have been a big game hunter most of my life but just recently I went pheasant hunting and absolutely fell in love with the sport. After the pheasant hunt, I expanded my horizon and went into some state game land here in Pennsylvania to try my luck with some grouse hunting. I walked 3 hours, harvested my limit and passionately loved it! I’m relatively new to the podcast scene but I’ve got to say the Project Upland podcast is my favorite one! Nick is a fun host, his guests are so knowledgeable and it makes me fall in love with the sport more and more each time I hear it! Thank you, Project Upland for turning this lover of big game hunting into a passionate upland game bird hunter!

Awesome podcast, great content, great crew

I’ve been upland hunting for a couple of years with my American Brittanys and I stumbled across this podcast. I got into upland later in life and am trying to absorb all the information I can. The content is very informative, great stories and it sounds like a great group of people. You have to check out their Facebook page and group for even more stories and great content and picture. Great community and a great way to promote the traditions and sport. Keep up the great work all!

T1D Outdoorsman

I’m just a Michigan city boy who started hunting game birds late in life. Like to hunt pheasants and have been fairly successful at it and now interested in hunting ruffed grouse (Pats are what family and friends call them) and woodcock if I can find them. Always being told that there are “No birds” to hunt. I still go out and look for them hoping to prove to those and myself that there are birds to hunt. Listening to Project Upland is giving me hope in going out in finding them.

Episode #77 - Great Episode

Just listened to episode #77 with David Radulovich and thought it was entertaining and informatative. David had a lot of great insight and tips on the psychilogical side of sporting clays and upland hunting. I highly recommend the episode.

Bang! We got the bird!

A phenomenal podcast for the experienced and aspiring upland bird hunters alike. This review comes from one of the show’s youngest fans - my two year old son James. At this age he enjoys the introduction the most, demanding his Dadda to “Play the guitar again”. He hollers “bang” after each shot, exclaims “we got the bird” and insists that the sounds of a flushing bird is a grouse or pheasant. He loves playing air guitar to the background music and the only downfall is never making it past the intro before he orders me to restart the loop. However, once into the meat of the show listeners can expect perspectives on dogs, guns, tactics, and a wealth of information on birds and their various habitats. I hope to foster a love of the uplands in my son and continue the positive association with gamebirds and hunting that the Project Upland podcast has so magnificently begun with him. Keep up the great work Nick!

Great Podcast!

You continue to go above and beyond with the podcast! Excellent content and amazing guests. Especially loved episode 70 with Paul Fuller. Having grown up bird hunting in Vermont, but now living out west, it made me miss the north east and is quite possibly prompting me to take a trip back there to hunt this fall. For a guest suggestion...it would be really cool to hear from Kirk Billings from Lander WY since he wasn’t able to speak at the Films of the Feathered back in June. Thanks for all the great content!Cheers - Dun Cochrane
