My favorite podcast

In this fun and insightful podcast, Christian and Steve’s lively banter and intelligent discussion is enjoyable and inspiring. The guys are so funny and the content so intriguing, that I’m always wish it would go on longer. Whether I’ve actually seen, read or listened to what they’re discussing or not, I always come away inspired to think more deeply about what I encounter in life. Thanks for including us in your coffee hour! I’m glad to be one of the 13!

Love this podcast/topic suggestion

This podcast is awesome! It’s lots of fun and often helps me to reflect on my own life and faith in a meaningful way. I have a suggestion for an episode: Firefly. I’m personally a big fan of the show and universe and am really interested to hear PCCH’s take on it.

Really enjoy this podcast

As a soon to be convert to Orthodoxy I am glad I found this podcast. I belong to a very small parish and most of the individuals are over 50. It’s nice to get the pop culture references and I love how they go into each topic in depth.

Always entertaining

Been listening for about a year now and I always enjoy the view of movies and the connection to Orthodox Christianity. Am equally obsessed with Star Wars and the MCU so always want to hear the guys talk about it. Have a suggestion that you review “The Magicians” from SyFy channel. It’s in the 3rd season now, renewed for 4th season, and available on Netflix. First season the writers enhanced the source material books and have improved and taken the characters to an interesting quest in the 3rd season. Would like to hear your thoughts.

Insightful and Conversational

I appreciate the earnest, in-depth look at these shows/movies from a Christian perspective. The podcast focuses on the truly human nature of the shows/movies, which provides a natural connection to Christ. (As opposed to a moralistic/artificial Christian analysis.). I also appreciate that the hosts are willing to be candid about their lives. Bravo!

Smart, thought-provoking, fun.

I really enjoy this podcast, whether it's Steve & Christian or Christina & Emma (or some other combination of the four!) No matter what the topic they've chosen for the week, it's always a smart and fun conversation. I love that their Orthodox faith comes up in suprising ways, and that this is more like hanging out with Orthodox friends than like tuning in for a lesson.

Skip the first 15 minutes of every single episode-

I wanted to give 2 stars. The first 10-15 minutes of every episode is physically painful to listen to. Like unfortunately and uncomfortably eavesdropping on private phonecalls that you don't care about. I hope as the audience for this show grows and the hosts mature further into their unique and much needed roles as cultural liasons, the episode intros can become more depersonalized. Once you skip the nails-on-chalkboard sound effects, inside jokes and folksy schlock, the actual content of the show is often astonishing. Fresh, inspired, honest. People in America are desperate for this kind of truth. But my guess is most seekers won't make it 5 minutes into any given episode. Please, cut the crap.Forgive me.

Excellent

I've been one of the proud 14 listeners since the beginning! Great interactions between Christian and Steve- this couldn't be better for young adults craving a healthy discussion of pop culture, especially movies. Great work, guys- I truly look forward to every episode. I'm also reading Brothers Karamazov because of you guys. Can I suggest going through all the Star Wars movies for future episodes?? Or other movies that are cultural touch stones you'd like to discuss
