Great Show!

If you are a gamer from the 80’s or early 90’s this podcast is for you. From Myst to Monkey Island, “Point and Click” is both nostalgic and informative. My only wish for this podcast is that I wish the host would use more than just the soundtrack in the background. For example, play voice or sound effects when you reach memorable moments in the game’s “talkthrough” section.

Blast from the past

This is one of the only podcasts I listen to anymore. It brings me back to some of my fondest childhood memories playing with siblings and friends. I love the addition of the music, the pacing, everything is just great.

Like an adventure game book club!

Point and Click: An Adventure Games Podcast is like a bookclub for adventure game fans. The host does a nice job of going through the history and background of each game before doing a “talkthrough” of the game, where he talks through the story and gameplay elements of the game beat by beat while also giving his commentary on his personal experience. I love the idea of the talkthrough. They’re thorough and well produced, with little touches like background music from the game of each section he discusses.I also like that he gives a forecast of the games he will be coving, as I plan on playing along with some of the games before listening. I’m not sure if there is a Facebook group page for the podcast, but I’d love to have a place like that to follow along and start discussion.All-in-all I recommend for any adventure game fan!

Great Audio Quality and Game Deep Dives

The host is extremely crisp and articulate, with great audio quality. Loved the volume levels of background music for the Gabriel: Sins of the Father episode.Enjoyed the format of giving historical context at the beginning of episodes and then exploring as much as possible in each game through host narrative, in true adventure game fashion.
