Disabled Army vet that loves to cook
Love this show. I consider myself an expert griller, but just recently got into barbecuing meats within the last few months. While I have had good luck with my first few meats that I have smoked (brisket, Boston butts, ribs, whole chickens), I know I still have a lot to learn. Jack knows his stuff (he is a champion after all) and I have learned so much from him already. I went back and downloaded the first episode and am about halfway caught up and I can't wait to find out what else I can learn. I love the secret ingredient segments. As a former butcher, Jack's knowledge of meats, especially when he talks about the different cuts, is very insightful.Though many people have told me I can grill steak, chicken, and seafood with the best of them, there is one thing I feel I lack in my repertoire and that is a good burger. So besides learning more about slow cooking meats in my smoker, I am currently in pursuit of a burger I can be happy with, so maybe Jack and Bill will be able to get me headed in the right direction.
