Reviews for Pod Save The Queen
Interesting but difficult to listen to
The podcast content-wise is really interesting to listen to, however it becomes frustrating and distracting when the people speak over each other and essentially interrupt each other. The sound isn’t mixed well enough, so when one person speaks, it is difficult to hear the other person when they reply and especially when they are speaking at the same time. The way the host gathers her thoughts is distracting, as there’s a lot of unnecessary vocalisation in the same camp as um’s, er’s, etc. Overall the dialogue could be a lot cleaner and ideas given fluidly.
Reviewed on Apple PodcastsThe best royal pod out there
I subscribe to several podcasts about the BRF and I find this is not only the one with the most accurate information, but also the one with the most balanced point of view. I find that lots of background is given to balance the news discussed and the conversation is straightforward and unbiased. I appreciate the point of view as well as the conversation. Pod Save this Pod!
Reviewed on Apple PodcastsBest royal podcast around!!
Very fair and objective podcast - no sycophantic praising - lovely anecdotes and they all seem like a lot of fun, and you have fun listening. I love the mix of history and fashion, there is so much more to the royals thanmost Americans can understand , and this pod does a great job of explaining.

I love this podcast, but I’m just devastated to hear Amber is gone. 😢

Would like to hear a discussion about difference between royalty and celebrity.

Very good podcast. Generous to all members of the BRF while also not blindly praising.

I gave this episode a single star as I was very disappointed that you had Richard Palmer on the show. He rarely has anything positive to say about the Sussex’s and allows vile comments on his Twitter feed. I was hoping that Pod Save the Queen would be fair but alas it’s not. I won’t be listening again.

Really like the fashion but also the more serious ones going in depth on the H&M documentary. Well done.

Total garbage.Especially that wind bag and perpetual “victim” Russell Meyers. Poor guy, can’t understand why the royals blame the British press for being such ***holes when he clearly doesn’t own a mirror— ironic because He is a member of the racist, sexist reporters from the Mirror — a British gossip rag packed with lies designed to upset people to sell paper. Oh irony. Constant Meghan bashing, completely not self reflexive about the way they cause harm, divisiveness and cater to the most base aspects of humanity. Really such uninspired and tedious droning. I’m sure not a single member of the royal family would approve of this awful podcast which vacillates between embarrassing fawning and self righteous digs at the sussexes. I hope none of these unempathetic people ever has children to pass down their stereotypes and poor attitudes, OR at least suddenly realize, once they become parents, how beastly and awful they have been to exhausted new parents who both have difficult extended family situations. Don’t waste your time.if you want to listen to a GOOD podcast about the week in royal news then check out Royally Obsessed, it’s great. Very positive and pro female. All of the same info on the week’s news with delightful commentary and commiseration and empathy for Meghan as she is perpetually assaulted by hostile British media.

I finally decided to write a review for a few reasons. 1. Although I once enjoyed the “Fab Four”, it is now quite obvious that the Cambridge/Sussex Royal Foundation split was absolutely necessary. Obviously, the Sussexes are truly passionate about their charitable work and want to use their platform to make positive changes in the UK & Commonwealth countries. Unfortunately, on the other hand, the Cambridges appear to be more interested in walking & waving. The Pakistan tour was nothing more than a fashion show. I am disappointed in them.2. The mere mention of Judi James cheapens your brand. One would advise you to steer clear of that woman and her nonsensical theories.3. My final point is about Russell. He had the audacity to claim the timing of Prince Harry’s letter on the eve of the final day of the South Africa tour was “disrespectful”. When neither he nor the majority of his colleagues cared about timing when spreading vicious lies about Duchess Meghan whilst she was pregnant. As if anyone believes Meghan has a tantrum over a tiara or was feuding with Kate and made her cry. And the list goes on. Meghan being blamed for everything! He disgusts me. Responsible journalists are supposed to be professional and unbiased. Amazes me how many journalists in the UK are nothing more than gossip hounds. If you cannot be fair, don’t bother reporting on the Sussexes.

I enjoy the podcast for the most part. Particularly enjoy the fashion talk.

This is one of my favorite podcasts on the Royals. The hosts give us a balanced view of life inside and outside palace walls. Their reporting is objective and they always highlight the Charities that the Royals support.

I fast forward through all of Russell Meyers long winded segments now. The man doesn’t take a breath! So much yammering in about how the press are mistreated by the Royals.

Russell should be ashamed of himself for bashing Harry and Meghan. Will not listen any longer.

Reviewed on Apple PodcastsSussex fans should not listen
Don’t listen if you are fans of the Sussex family. These reporters are awfully negative. British listeners have to listen to them whine about their taxes. They go on and on criticizing Meghan primarily in this podcast despite the fact she is the reason they are making money on which they have to pay the taxes. It’s embarrassing. The other members of the family’s mistakes are not mentioned and there is very little positive commentary on Harry and Meghan.

Reviewed on Apple PodcastsRussell Myer endlessly complaining about royals
I used to love this podcast, but it has become a mouthpiece for a very creepy Russell Myers to endlessly gripe about all the ways that Meghan and Harry have wronged him. Despite not knowing them personally. This guy is totally deluded and entitled. During one of his recent rants, he even made the claim that the media has been "respectful" of the couple and is therefore justified in their criticism. Yet, any Joe Blow on this planet knows that Meghan Markle has been through the wringer with the media from the very start. Russell also conveniently fails to respect the reality that Harry's mother died while being hunted like an animal by the press. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to grasp that this combination of events would instill some extremely strong feelings and boundaries for any rational human. However, Russell throws a reporter-tantrum every time he is faced with the realization that, consequentially, the media won't be able to participate on their terms. It is truly impressive that a grown man can in that industry can have so many criticisms, but no self-awareness that his own career/contribution to society is questionable (at best). Ironically, the two female podcast hosts seem to only giggle and nod while he incessantly criticizes a new wife and mother. Absolutely no objective reporting or view challenging. Someone ought to revoke this guy's press pass because he is not doing the royal family any favors.
