If you could sit down with St. Thomas Aquinas over a pint of beer and ask him any one question, what would it be? Every episode of Pints With Aquinas revolves around a question, a question that St. Thomas addresses in one of his many works. So get your geek on, pull up a bar stool, and grab a cold one. Here we go!

Fantastic podcast!

This podcast is fascinating and full of wisdom. I had a number of friends reocmmend it to me and I wasn't interested for a while. However, after listening to eposides here and there I became completely hooked! I've learned so much and find these shows a great encouragement in my faith.

Great perspective on Catholicism through the lens of Aquinas

I’ve been a subscriber and listener now for several years. My faith has deepened as a result. I am now in formation for the permanent diaconate in part due to PWA. THANK YOU Matt!

Top 5 Catholic Podcast

I subscribe to LOTS of podcasts. I listen, sporadically, to many of them. PWA is one of the few I won't miss. Matt is funny and real and does, along with his guests, an incredible job breaking down complex topics. If you want to learn more our faith at deeper level, this is a great place to do that.

My favorite podcast!

This podcast is my favorite. It is a thrill diving deeper into faith and not just with trendy topics but with questions that have been asked over thousands of years. I love Thomas Aquinas but always found him hard to pick up his books and read them. I love that I can get a weekly dose of theology on my way to work. Thanks Matt Frad!

No matter how eloquently stated, garbage is garbage.

He first provides an answer then crafts the fitting question. Really does a good job laying out a fallacious argument, using pseudo philosophy, misrepresentations, straw man arguments, arguments from incredulity, special pleading, ad nauseam. If you’re into the supernatural, magical thinking and fallacious arguments, this is for you.

Misinformed

My sister recommended me the recent podcast that supposedly debunked veganism, claiming it didn’t strawman and it had reasonable justifications for the consumption of animal products. I am sorry to say that your representation of the vegan philosophy was completely inadequate and during several instances, misleading. I promise you Peter Singer has never advocated for animals rights to vote. You are allowed to maintain your arbitrarily constructed hierarchy, and say for example, that humans are completely superior to animals. That doesn’t allow us to deprive them of dignity, respect and compassion. When we financially demand the death of an animal, we do it because we enjoy the taste and convenience of eating it’s flesh. In a developed society it is generally unnecessary to eat animal products and the sensory pleasure (taste) and convenience behind their consumption are simply not appealing justifications for cruelty.

Pints with Aquinas for the win!

I have absolutely loved this podcast. I often have to clear off podcasts/other media to free up space on my phone (too cheap to add more space), but Pints doesn’t stay gone long (if at all). Matt is very vulnerable with his guests and doesn’t act as if he is an expert on everything, which is great. Subscribe, subscribe, subscribe!!!
