Where is this going?

This podcast goes on and on with possible alternatives and misdirections. It was like a defense of a criminal that was 99.5% guilty. Doesn’t a good story have to have conflict and questions to be answered? Listen to this then and compare to something like S-Town. That’s 5 stars. This is 2 and that’s online giving point for effort.

Wow!

Well researched, fascinating, great narrative, no adverts. It’s sad that this horrific crime has in some ways become entertainment but hopefully this podcast will be a warning to any young people traveling the world to be as street smart as possible. It resonated with me as I have backpacked through these areas and I also probably would have trusted an American guy with a sailboat and two kids. The whole thing is shocking on many different levels.Definitely deserves 5 stars!

Comes off the rails quickly

Could be cut down to 4 episodes without the editorializing and winging.

Interesting story, interviews could have been shorter

Interesting story but could do with less of the restating every detail Vince recounts during the interviews.

Thank you

Thank you for giving Chris & Peta’s families some comfort and for finding their children. They had been truly let down by those we are supposed to put our faith and trust in. Without you, I imagine they would still be in the dark. I hope that Boston found no peace or happiness in his life and his death was painful in equal measure to the pain he inflicted on others including his sons. I tell others about this podcast and encourage them to subscribe. I will continue to do so. Thank you

Chills

I listen to A LOT of podcasts and I think this is the first time I’ve had full body chills at the end. Such a poignant ending. So many people failed Chris and Peta but this podcast beautifully memorialized them. Thank you for telling their story. God bless Vince for continuing to try to do the right thing over and over. Such a hard life but kept his moral compass. ❤️

One of the best!

Quite simply one of the best true crime, investigative podcasts I’ve listened to. A tragic story of murder and unanswered questions in the most beautiful part of the world. Excellent story telling and genuine detective work that helped give the families some answers. Incredible.

Chilling

I was hooked from the get go. I’ve enjoyed the way the story has been told thus far. You do feel like you’re with them on this journey. Gob-snacking how many opportunities to get justice for both Chris and Peta were missed/ overlooked?! Your heart goes out to the families. Must have been so hard for Penny to trace the steps of her brother and for Vince to have to relive the horror. Please post episode 11!

Great pod but ...

I’ve enjoyed this podcast but there’s some elements that let it down badly. The main presenter doesn’t seem to understand evidence and the legal system in uk, us or Guatemala. The episode when they go to the true crime conference is baffling.Drop Nolan and it’s 5 stars. His interview techniques and overall attitude is awful. He often appears rude and disrespectful to interviews especially the FBI guy in last episode.Apart from that I enjoyed the structure and the storytelling aspect. In essence a tragic tale, feel sorry for the couple and their families
