Great podcast
Well researched and well produced. To those complaining about ads, you do know they’re how creators get funding to to the work they do, right? They’re also not hard to skip.

So awesome
I love this podcast, everything about it. Great job, you should be at the top of the charts! I listen while I work. I’m from CT so this is so very sad 😔

Love
I’ve been binge listening to season 2. I was born and raised in clermont county Ohio and have never heard of this case. Very well done. I’m now binge listening to season 1.

Question
This is more of a question than a review… I’m getting confused by all the different people involved, is there a web page explaining the dynamics? I searched but didn’t find anything? I could definitely use some visual help. Thank you!

Are you kidding with all the ads?????
The amount of time taken up by ads is RIDICULOUS . No thanks, moving on.

Background Music? Please Stop!
Oye. Why in heaven's name do you waste precious time using background music? You have a story--run with it! Don't hum with it! Oye.

Underrated
This is a great podcast and keeps me on the edge of my seat the entire time.

Good but who's the co-host?
With all the experience Phelps has, I wish they had found someone to balance him. Someone who didn't sound like she understood law and crime from watching TV. No offense but I just don't care what she thinks, might as well be me on there and I know nothing.

Excellent Storytelling
M. William Phelps is an excellent storyteller. He is genuine and thorough and concise. I can feel his empathy and concern for victims and their families. Any story he has to tell is certainly binge worthy.

Too many commercials
Unfortunately, I have to agree with the rest. Sooo many commercials and they are sooo long. Story is good but I’m going to move on. There are others out there that don’t have so many commercials.

Ads
Could be great but frequency of commercial’s ruin the story!

Too many commercials
It’s a good podcast but the commercials take up more time than the actual podcast. Not enough content and too many ads.

Good but obnoxious ads
Weird to see people whining about the “story” not being entertaining when this is more of an documentary/investigation about a horrific event and severe child abuse, not entertaining fiction. With actual interviews with survivors and police so the review stating it was all newspaper research is absolutely unfounded and just effin stupid. Anyway I agree the ads are excessively long and super obnoxious and loud. I get it’s necessary for this production but something less jarring and loud and long and irritating would be better. I wish the host could find a better venue, for the podcast. It’s a heartbreaking story and some of the details made me feel sick. I’m glad domestic violence including child abuse is not ignored like it was in the past but my god…. the horror of talking about it. It’s important though and I am glad the survivors got to speak. We need to know this happened- it explains a lot of collective grief in this world. God bless the survivors and god bless those that didn’t get away from this cruelty and perversion. And may the devil take the ones with power to help who chose to look the other gd way instead.

The voice tho!
His voice reminds of the voice over from the Sandlot movie!

Deep Voiced Nonsense
Faked true crime nonsense. Dramatic reads with a deep voice cannot hide the underlying nonsense of this fictional tale strung between too many commercials. Like Seinfeld, this is a podcast about nothing

Storytelling is great
Really enjoy the storytelling and the interviews.
I listen on the desktop so I can do the FF 30 feature to get though all of the ads.

Drop the cohost
Phelps doesn’t need a cohost. Not trying to be mean, but she’s completely unnecessary. Please listen and understand your listeners/subscribers don’t need another voice. Especially one that knows little to nothing about the genre. Please. Definitely planning to unsubscribe if she’s still there adding NOTHING. Sorry.

Season 2
These two have absolutely no idea what they talking about. Each episode seems to have been researched from the local newspapers and their interpretations of evidence and testimony is completely uneducated

Eh
Halfway through season 1, and while the content is interesting, there are a ton of ads to fast forward through and after yet another mention of “obese” as a marker for evil, I’m done.
