I miss the early seasons 😢

I used to love, love, love this show, but recently the quality of stories is lacking. Or maybe Otis’s retelling is just off. It just feels like he doesn’t put the same”oomph” into it now and as a result the stories are hard to follow. I’m hoping it’s just an off couple of seasons and the magic will return soon.

Alright Quality

I listen to the podcast everyday at work and starting since season 3 the audio can clearly be heard be cut mid word. Other times you clearly hear when the editor threw in a quick second take when the narrator’s tone abruptly changes. Should be much better at this point and not continuing to get worse.

10/10 and some spoilers..

I absolutely love your voice and have fallen asleep to these on more than one occasion. I don’t get freaked out by your stories but they have a good story line and I honestly don’t really mind the ads unless they are in between the stories cause that makes it lose the creepiness of the story. The only one that kinda got me a little bit freaked out was the one about the (IF YOU DONT WANT TO HAVE THIS STORY SPOILED STOP READING RIGHT HERE) sex farm and that’s only because I have 5 sisters and am very protective of them. Other than that pretty good stories.

Great stories

It took me a bit to get comfortable with this kindly old voice narrating grim horror stories, but once acclimated I’ve grown to love it. The stories are well written and Otis really wraps you up into the story.

Pisses me off!!!

Seriously??? Why do some of these just completely end. Some of them are really good and build up to something exciting but then they just end. I’m giving it three stars because some of the stories are really good and creepy but the ones I’ve listened to end before they get resolved. It seriously pisses me off. I can’t act like I’m not addicted to this podcast a little bit though. 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

Huge fan

I discovered Otis and now am trying to figure out how to break into the voice acting world. His ability to connect the audience to the story is uncanny. Love the stories that make your skin crawl. Thank you Otis.

Best Scary Story Podcast

Otis Jiry's voice sends chills down my spine and besides a couple of ads this is the best way to listen to scary stories.

Ads!

The show is great but the sponsored ads are too long, boring & REPETITIVE! I’m not sure how long you think a vitamin ad should be but it shouldn’t be 10 mins. Also the intro is also long and repetitive, he says the same thing over & over, we get it you want us to subscribe to everything. Normally I skip through the intro, the ads & that 5 min out but when I’m stuck in the shower, I’m tortured! Please take this as constructively as possible.

Otis is GREAT!

Wonderful stories & great narration; but, the obnoxiously loud ads that interrupt the stories-in the middle- are awful. I don't even know what the ads are bc I turn them off so fast.

great podcast!

i listen to true crime stories all day, then at night i like to listen to fiction (of all kinds) to fall asleep. i really enjoy this podcast! the stories aren’t always great but i appreciate that there’s a platform for new writers to get their work out there. my only problem is the ads. they interrupt the story half way through, and often times i’m almost or totally asleep and am jolted awake by the ads BLASTING in my ears. they’re louder than the actual story volume and i don’t want to turn the bright screen back on to fast forward thru them. so i’m stuck there for two minutes trying to find the meditative quality in a crapola commercial so i can hopefully fall back asleep quickly.
