Radio Lingua Rules!

I have used many Radio Lingua productions so far, including Coffee Break Spanish, German, and French, My Daily Phrase German and Italian, and numerous "One Minute Language" lessons, and I absolutely love them! I rotate between several different languages for about eight hours a day while I am working and I have learned a ton! They present language in a way that is interesting and easy to listen to without getting too bored. I only wish now that the great folks at Radio Lingua will produce a Coffee Break Russian. One more thing that would be incredible would be to produce a "One Minute Ojibwe" or "One Minute Cherokee" or other Native American languages; I know these may not be as useful as many other languages, but these languages are dying and I think you could help people learn them in a way that is easy and fun! Please consider it, and thanks so much to Mark, Thomas, all the Annas and everyone else, for everything!

Accent...

Hi! I'd like to say that these podcasts are really good for beginners - Ann gives the basic words and phrases. But she has a strong accent. It's not bad but it makes me smile each time I hear how she pronounces the words. Like a foreigner - far from clear Russian sounds...I would just like teachers to be native speakers! It'd be much better if they spoke English with accent but not the language we are studying... I am learning French and Spanish at this moment and I hope the teachers there do not have such strong accents. Otherwise if I study it wrong initially plus my own Russian accent - my pronunciation will be rather strange...

Warning

Most of the Radio Lingua Podcast hosts have Scottish accents. It's fine to comprehend the English, but bear in mind that your foreign language pronunciation might develop an accent.

3 minutes of advertisting to learn 3 words

Basically what you are getting here is a big advertising pitch, followed by a couple of words.

The host has accent

Ann has an accent in Russian. I hope that there is no one in Spanisn in "Coffee Break Spanish" podcast. If there is an accent here it can be in other podcasts. The podcasts of "Radio Lingua Network" are very good but accent....

Хороший

Привет! I thought this podcast was rather good. Hopefully they make more so I can learn a bit more; I was a little let down when Lesson 10 was the last one because I didn't think that I learned a lot. Don't get me wrong, I did learn and I enjoyed it.
