Bait and switch

This is advertising for a paid version. There are only 10 "episodes" (if you can call them that). They stopped in 2008.

Ulterior motive?

Gave this two stars because you will learn something, not much, but something. Basically all of these 'One Minute...' language podcasts are extended adverts for RLN's pay-only content and so the 'learning' content offered is only as an afterthought. Don't bother with this if you have a real desire to learn a language, and despite what RLN will tell you on these podcasts that is not an easy thing to do properly. If you do decide to listen in, skip the first 30 seconds and the last minute or so of each podcast and you may not be bored!

great stuff!

I like this podcast! It's easy to learn and the instructor's timing and clarity is excellent. Although, I detect a Scottish accent there, wonder if I'm correct? I've no problem with that because I actually love Scottish accents!

Good Start To Learning French

This is good for an abosolute beginner of French. Very quick and easy and. However, with that being said this only teaches you the absolute basics so an intermediate or advanced learner what get much out of this. But if the language is new for you why not give it a try?

Needs more repetition.

It's really short and concise, which is excellent. However, I prefer longer lessons that have much more repetition. But once a day is a great way to learn if you can listen to the same thing over and over again.
