Grateful to find this in 2018

As a biracial congregant at a predominantly white, evangelical church in Alabama, hearing this series of conversations has been overwhelmingly refreshing.More than anything, the posture of listening first, followed by a heart to reflect the love of God without compromising Truth is very clear.Thank you for taking stance of not seeking to “shame the oppressor,” and having honest conversations.I’m only finished with season 1, but I hope there is a season 3 or other avenues for your conversations to accessed by us listeners.

sophomore slump

I enjoyed the first “season”. These latest episodes were recorded in the summer so the examples and problems they discuss are dated. Its become more like Rerun Ramp.

Highly Recommended

As a young pastor and the white father to two children of color, this podcast was extremely helpful and timely. The hosts are somehow able to breath clarity and thoughtfulness into an emotionally charged and complex issue. The episodes are brief, accessible, engaging, and practical, which is helpful for anyone who is relatively new to the conversation. The tone is gracious, informative, and even personal at times. I highly recommend this podcast to anyone (Christian or not) interested in an introduction to the race-in-America conversation.

Necessary Conversation

As a white male, I didn't know how much I needed to hear this. I'm so grateful I stumbled across this podcast. It's opened my vocabulary, challenged my thinking, and forced me to approach situations differently.

Much needed

I don't usually write reviews, but felt compelled this time to express how much I enjoy your podcast! You discuss issues from a very open perspective that causes the listener to be introspective instead of feeling judged. Thank you!

Couldn't Be Better

This is awesome!!! I found this through a link on the FB page of "Be the Bridge", and definitely plan to use these podcasts as homework to set up discussions within a small group my husband and I just started at our all-white church. It really articulates and confirms the direction that God has been moving us, and how to approach these topics, within that group. Exactly what the title describes - an easy, non-threatening "on-ramp" to the uncomfortable discussion of race in modern America. Intended for, and spoken through the lens of, Christians, but could also be helpful for non-Christians who aren't threatened by this. Easily-digestible, topic and time-wise; very much in "layman's" terms. Great rapport and humble authenticity from both hosts - they are just serious, and just funny enough, and pleasant to listen to. I can even see myself approaching my older, white, Southern parents to listen to these. Thanks so much, Kerry and Shane!

Intellectual and with heart

A thoughtful review of issues around race. Can one be gentle and cut to the chase at the same time? They've figured it out. Well worth a download and listen.
